Coming from a long line of luxury cognac brewers, Kilian Hennessy was never a stranger to decadent, sophisticated aromas. Throughout his childhood, the syrupy, woody scent of “the angel’s share” (the evaporation from cognac cellars) shadowed him, and this can be seen in his fragrances today: many of his signature scents give a nod to the sweet sugar of alcohol and the wood of cognac barrels. One of the most experienced noses in the industry, Kilian prioritises the environment (each bottle can be refilled and kept for a lifetime), elegance and timeless luxury above anything else.
Paying tribute to Kilian’s heritage and upbringing as part of a French cognac-making family, Roses on Ice is a member of Kilian’s ‘The Liquors’ collection.
A recollection of his wife’s favourite drink — gin on the rocks with lime — Kilian Hennessy’s Roses on Ice stars sharp notes of gin, softened with rose and refreshing cucumber. After opening with this aquatic crispness, juniper berries and voluptuous rose centifolia uplift and transform the scent before it dries down with a heady concoction of sandalwood and musk. Housed in an Art Deco-inspired, refillable glass bottle that’d fit in seamlessly with the aesthetic of a vintage speakeasy, each perfume is finished with golden accents and made to be cherished forever.
Start by spraying it on your pulse points: behind the ears, wrists, ankles. It will rise in spirals around your body. Then spray a scent halo around your neck, head and hair.

Love
Love kilian. This one is less popular than others but I love it and actually get tons of compliments on it which always surprises me. It’s not very rosy though so I mix it with some floral fresh perfumes.

I adore this scent. Parfum Roses on ice comes across with the fresh notes and the rose comes after. Unlike anything else in my collection.

Beautiful
I have been after a new smell for years, after my perfume was discontinued several years ago. I purchased this completely blind, and I fell. In. Love. It's a light and fresh scent and the packaging is so beautiful. I already want to add to my collection.

Roses On Ice with Lime
I share Mrs Kilian’s love of Hendricks and this is my favourite drink mixed with my favourite fragrance of roses and a dash of aquatic lime. Unique and refreshing. So very different. I love the refillable bottle that makes this a lot more economical second time round. On my third refill.

My Secret Weapon
I refuse to tell anyone the name of my scent-I’ve always worn roses-from the age of 14 YSL Paris, then using during lockdown I bought Jo Malone Red Roses-both are wonderful but Scream Roses-this is subtle and sophisticated and I’d take it on a dessert island-inside a handbag of course lol!Just Heaven…
