Beautifully soft & expert blending best eye set I have ever bought!

I have some face brushes by the company too and they are stronger than the eye set I bought here. I washed the brushes only once and already one of the blending brushes had broken and the wooden case of some others starts to be cracked. If the face brushes stay the same after 10+ washes, what's the different with the eye set? Kind of disappointing cause I paid a lot for them. They are really good and do their job but I guess soon more of them will be break cause I have to wash them once a week.

I got these brushes as a gift for mum for part of her birthday present and they have been an absolute success. Loved the ethics behind this brand and having owned a few of them myself I knew that they would be good to give to mum. Soft and easy to work with even for beginners.

I got this set and at first sight I was very excited until I came to use them. As the other reviews say, some brushes are dry, harsh at first and can feel a little scratchy. I have been using the brushes for 3 months now and can say I stick to only three. Due to this I wouldn’t say great value for money but the three I use are fit for purpose I suppose!

I have a similar eye brush set in standard black that I purchased in Germany and it has some of the same brushes included, but some are excluded or unique to the set. The brow liner brush was a huge disappointment because it was much less dense compared to the black one from Zoeva. The concealer brush definitely has a slight prickly feeling as compared the the black one under the eye. The worst brush is definitely the spot liner. It has some stiff synthetic hairs that make you feel like you're scratching your eyelid off. I managed to remedy this by cutting off the offending bristles (which are easy to spot since they are brown and much stiffer) with a cuticle remover. Only after that did it work like a dream with my gel liners. This brush set lacks the 237 detail shader which is my holy grail brush, but has a 238 luxe precise shader in its place which is great, but much smaller. I would like to have them both in this kit. The 237 detail shader is not available for individual purchase except in black. (Saw one black rose gold one selling on ebay but it's counterfeit.) The luxe pencil and petite crease loses its shape immediately after one wash which then defeats the purpose of the brushes. But I noticed the same happened to my black brushes and perhaps you should use the plastic bristle covers to keep them in better shape. This is definitely a problem because you would need to let them dry first. I contacted cult beauty with some of the problems but they could only offer a 10% discount off my next order, which couldn't be applied to what I wanted anyway. In conclusion, I would stick the standard black complete eye set (I don't know if the black rose gold set has the same issues as this beige rose gold set did) but it and the standard black has the 237 detail shader which is essential for me! That's another thing, why would you name two differently coloured sets with a different selection of brushes "rose golden complete eye set vol.1" and "rose golden complete eye set vol. 2"? Shouldn't you have a different name for each colour and a different name for a different selection of brushes? It's confusing for the consumer.

The blending brushes are quite stiff and scratchy so don't blend very well, hopefully they will soften up with use. The precision brushes are great, a much softer material but still firm. I don't think it's worth the money for the few brushes I actually like.

Beautiful brushes, apply make-up perfectly. However, it could be improved with the addition of the winged liner brush as that is definitely an important brush missing from the collection. The brush set itself is lovely and I'm very happy with my purchase. :)
