An addictively nourishing and restorative lip (or very dry skin!) treatment, Zelens’ The Balm is housed in a chic chrome tin (a gorgeous addition to any handbag) and stars a deep-conditioning blend of 13 active ingredients, to keep lips looking – and feeling – smooth, plump and kissable. A unique lipid complex – phospho-, glycol-, phytoceramides and essential fatty acids – limits moisture loss and reinforces skin’s barrier function, while retinol ester – a rich source of vitamin A – is converted to retinol and retinoic acid in the skin, where it encourages collagen synthesis to keep skin strong, supple and resilient. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture whilst ‘filling out’ fine lines and wrinkles, and sunflower seed extract works alongside cocoa seed, shea, vegetable butters and beeswax, to replenish elasticity and softness. Best ever
I have had "rough lips my whole life which gets worse when using lipstick. This is the first balm which has completely changed my lips. I put it on my lips about 15 min before lipstick and throughout the day and now have fan lips. The reason for 4 stars is bad container, it is difficult to open as it keeps getting stuck.

Didn't really do anything for me
This does nothing for my incredibly dry lips - it just sits on top of the dry skin and has a kind of pearlised sheen.

Lovely lip balm, terrible packaging
This lip balm is really nice - vanilla-ey scented, and really silky, it does give your lips a shine and lightens them slightly (bit like the effect of a sheer nude lip colour). They also feel hydrated for a lasting time. My only complaint is that the packaging is really poor, it feels / looks very cheap plus the screw-top lid is very difficult to open and keeps getting frustratingly stuck (at least in my case!). Shame.
