    • Why it's Cult

Verso’s founder, Lars Fredriksson, advocates that keeping skin well-hydrated is the best basis for defying signs of ageing. This moisturising and barrier repairing system is the perfect way to achieve this, offering both immediate and long-term hydration from Nordic lipids, oils and niacinamide, which effectively prevent skin from drying out, thus keeping it smooth, rejuvenated and youthful.

    Verso - Hydration Serum

    Verso Hydration Serum Reviews

    Less impressed with time
When I received a sample in the goody bag I was obsessed, it cleared some of my acne spots in weeks and my skin look lovely and plump, I was raving about it to all my friends as the best serum out there. Over time however, the spots are predominantly at bay but my skin looks dull and not as hydrated or bright as it used to be, it really made me wonder whether the sample product is different to the real thing. Given the price, I’ve decided to now find an alternative, such a shame, it was truly a cult product when I first used it, now it’s just average and expensive.
Doesn't hold up with consistent use
I'm wary of loving skincare that gives immediate results, especially hydrating ones, as they can make you feel like they're working but not actually do anything in the long term. I liked this when I got it as a sample so decided to buy it and test it properly. It's decent but not worth the price. I get better, clearer results from the Ordinary or the Inkey List.
    Beautiful
A great serum that works quickly on the skin. Fantastic product and beautiful scent too.
    Great serum
I adored using Verso’s Antioxidant Booster so was quite disappointed when it finished. Luckily, I had this serum waiting to take its place. I have combination skin so it is a real winner for me. It’s a weightless matte finish but I know that it is hydrating because my skin is not looking and feeling dehydrated throughout the day. It is great for layering and a must-have for anyone with oily- dehydrated skin.
    Gorgeous hydrating serum
I love this serum! My oily but dehydrated skin drinks it up! I find it really smooths out and plumps my complexion. I also love how quickly it absorbs and how nicely it sits under make up!
    Beautiful serum
I received a sample of this serum and after a few uses I bought in a big size. I love it, it leaves a soft, hydrated, plump skin. I believe it helped me with diminishing some acne spots.
    I’m obsessed with this!!
I received a mini of this in a previous Cult Beauty goody bag and immediately loved it. It’s so kind on sensitive skin, really does moisturise dry skin - leaves skin feeling hydrated all day long. Also it smells divine!! The only reason I gave four stars was due to the price, it is expensive but I do believe it’s worth it.
    Expensive
This is an expensive serum. I was luckily given it by a friend who thought she had a bad reaction to niacinamide. She had tried the ordinary and thought spending more money might mean a better formulation. She admits this was a mistake. This does have some extra beneficial skin loving ingredients compared to other similar serums. There is no hyralonic acid in this but it may not mix well with the other ingredients. Personally for such a high price, I’m surprised (or am I?!), that there is a fragrance added to this. With Boots deciding to no longer stock some of the Indeed Labs products (I asked, they told me) could Cult Beauty stock their range?! They do a great Hydration Booster serum that Caroline Hirons and Nadine Baggott recommend. Good skincare and good skin should not break the bank!
    A Top Serum
This is one of my favourite serums on the market. Light, hydrating, non-sticky - it sits perfectly under moisturiser/SPF to then apply makeup. Mostly I love the mix of hydration and niacinamide which I do think keeps my skin hydrated and reduced any unsettled skin spots. This product also lasts - an all round favourite!
    Unexpected results!
I received this serum as a gift with another Verso product and I admit I didn't expect much. Instead, I found the best hydrating serum I have ever tried on my skin (41, sensitive-combination-dehydrated skin). It hydrates, yes, but the greatest effect on me is that it immediately cancels out my redness. This soothing effect is quite extraordinary. I am using it every day and I will 100% repurchase it!
    I Love It!
I truly love this a lot, especially with its really high potency of niacinamide meaning I don't need to add an extra step unnecessarily. My skin looked and felt amazing using this, it is a bit pricey but worth it to me so will be repurchasing in the future.
    Lovely serum
I received this in travel size from the Cult Beauty Goody bag and became a fan of Verso skin care products. This absorbs well, really hydrating and my skin feels refreshed and plump after using this.
    Keeps my skin happy
I have now been through two of these and really notice a difference in my skin when I am consistently using this serum. It does give instant results with providing an extra layer of hydration that lasts throughout the day, but the real appeal is that this keeps my skin clear and calm. I am prone to breakouts around my jawline but using this serum every morning helps keep that to a minimum, when I stop using it I know about it! I wouldn't want to be without this now.
Used as an eye serum due to severe eczema
I bought this only because of oatmeal but the product penetrated into the skin so much that the pores got clogged and the skin irritated. But as far as severe eyelid eczema is concerned, it really worked well. I tried with Fresh’s several eye creams along with creme Ancienne, Sunday Riley’s Juno, Elizabeth Arden’s eight-hour cream but only Verso’s hydrating serum instantly soothed my eyelid. I am currently taking care of eczema with Kiehl’s Cica cream but it cannot be a sub for the Verso serum.
Good but is it worth the money?
The product is a decent serum for dehydrated skin, smells great, lovely texture. It contains niacinamide as its second ingredient which is always great news. However, is it worth forking out £79 for this? I'll leave it to you to decide, perhaps you have a lot of disposable income.
