Versed Skincare - Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm

Versed Skincare Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm Reviews

    Great bang for your buck
Very affordable and great at removing! Bear in mind this is a cleansing balm, so the best way to remove it is with a wet cloth.
    The old formula was better
I buy this product regularly and it’s usually a beautiful cleanser that doesn’t irritate the skin. But I recently repurchased a new tub and as soon as I used it I could tell the ingredients had been changed. The new formula feels horrible on my skin, it’s waxy and greasy and doesn’t wash off with water like it used to. You definitely have to use a cloth to remove it and double cleanse with a face wash, it also leaves a greasy film on your hands after you’ve massaged it onto your face. Why fix what isn’t broken? I highly doubt I will repurchase this again.
    cleansing balm
Love this product, it glides over the skin and turns to oil immediately which avoids dragging or tugging of delicate skin. It melts mascara and eyeliner without leaving an oil residue. it’s just a really good product I’d highly recommend!
    The Best Balm Cleanser
The is outright my favourite balm cleanser. At first, I was put off because of some of the ingredients this product was supposed to contain, after looking into this I couldn’t see anything particularly bad, after the first use I noticed my face felt very clean and fresh and also very moisturised and wasn’t red or stingy. You do need to use some sort of cloth or fabric to ensure that all of your make-up/ balm has been removed. I know some people are particularly against fragrances/ EO but I found the eucalyptus scent rather pleasant and calming, perfect for a bedtime cleanse!
Bought the mini pot of this to try when I wanted something to remove my makeup before properly cleaning and as soon as that was done I got the bigger pot. I love it, removed everything so easily then I rinse it off and use a foaming cleanser. Probably wouldn’t use on its own but to remove everything and as step 1 of a double cleanse then it’s spot on.
Like it, bit it´s not a wow product.
The scent is refreshing. You need to double cleanse with this. I like it but it´s not for me.
    My journey continues
When I purchased this I felt I was taking a chance as I didn't know the brand and the price for what I was buying felt a bit much for the amount you get, the first night I used the balm, straight away my skin felt clogged, I truly couldn't sleep by how odd my skin smelt, I had to rewash my face and use a cleanser to get the balm off, BUT I kept using it every night to remove makeup, then it began to sting my eyes, I won't be getting this again and shall be looking for another makeup remover once again.
    Decent but not wow
It was good at removing eye makeup - gets everything off. The smell is ok, just not to my taste. It left my skin feeling a bit oily so I only use this when I double cleanse, using a foam cleanser afterwards. I'll try another balm next time
    Smells incredible but..
This really transports you to a spa as it smells incredible, but I only use it to loosen all my make up and then remove it with a cream cleanser. It does leave a slight residue on skin but again, that is removed with the second cleanse. All in all, I'm happy with this and wish all skin care could smell this amazing but would potentially look around for alternatives when it's finished.
    It's alright
Bought this a few weeks ago and whilst it smells absolutely divine, it does not do a great job at taking off makeup or sunscreen. I only wear a tinted moisturiser on a daily basis so not a lot of makeup and it doesn't do a great job at removing it. Price is okay but could pick up a better balm cleanser elsewhere for the same price.
    Good Cleansing Balm
A nice cleansing balm for the price, it has a strong smell, but luckily it's a nice scent. Gets rid of makeup and sunscreen easily but I found it to be a bit greasy and you definitely need to double cleanse to get the residue off your face.
    Amazing product
Works great to gently remove makeup, no more need for cotton pads or remover wipes. I use this as a first cleanse in the evening and given how little product you actually need, this tub will last me forever!
    Love it
Feels amazing on the skin and great for my double cleanse step.
    Great product
Lovely product, nice smell and feels lovely on the skin. I use it to remove my make up and does a great job. I'm torn between this and the oat cleansing balm from the Inkey List for which one I prefer. The smell of this product is nicer but the oat cleansing balm is more suited for sensitive skin IMO.
    Cannot Recommend Enough!
I’m a massive fan of this product. It’s so easy to use, really cleans the skin and removes make-up as well as being great value for money.
It smells great and leaves the skin super soft
    God send
This stuff is incredible for removing make up off - it’s quick and easy. Doesn’t leave my face too dry after using it and smells fresh!
    Overpowering smell
Honestly, it feels and smells like rubbing Vicks vapor rub all over your face! I found it to be quite waxy and even after removing it with a face halo pad I would have to use another cleanser to completely remove it. It really stung my eyes as well. I bought it because it was less expensive than my usual cleansing balm (glow recipe) but it’s nowhere near as good and I will be going back to my other cleanser!
    Not too great
This product is fine but not great. It leaves a lot of oil on my skin and I always have to use another product to remove my makeup completely.
    Wouldn’t repurchase
The scent is quite strong of essential oils- not an issue for me but a thing to consider if you aren’t a fan of strong scent in skincare. It took off my make-up well but I noticed I would often end up with styes in my eyes the morning after using it. Never had this issue with balm cleansers before but it definitely puts me off repurchasing.
    A nice balm cleanser
Really nice balm cleanser, love the eucalyptus as it feels really fresh. The one downside to that is that it can sting my eye a little bit if I use it AM and PM to remove eye make up, but that could just be me being quite sensitive! For those saying it leaves a residue - I didn’t find this. Although could be that they were just rinsing with water and not using a cloth? A flannel-type cloth works nicely I find but each to their own preference :) I’m prone to breakouts on my cheeks (masks) and on my forehead (sunglasses) and this doesn’t agitate it, just removes everything ready to apply other treatments. Would buy again.
    Will buy again
Very good. Has a eucalyptus scent that's refreshing and doesn't sting. Pretty good as a first cleanse if you double cleanse which is what I use it for. Also good for taking off eye makeup!
    Great everyday cleanser
Bought this as I wanted something for my first cleanse. Was looking for a balm that wouldn’t clog my pores or break me out as I am currently on Accutane. I also wanted something that was thick enough to fully remove makeup, SPF etc. It’s perfect. It doesn’t sting my eyes like a lot of balm/oil cleansers do. It is thick so I wouldn’t personally use alone without following with a gel cleanser. I use this for first step cleanser and then follow with The Inkey List SA gel cleanser. Match made in acne prone heaven. Only negative is that I did expect this tub to be slightly larger. One tub lasts me only 4 weeks.
    My favourite
I don't typically wear make-up, so I can't speak to how good this is at removing it. It is a pleasure to use though, my favourite cleanser that I keep coming running back to after I try anything else. I love the subtle, fresh scent, I love that you put it on dry skin, I love feeling and watching it turn milky when it gets wet, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh but not tight or dry.
    Middle of the range
Strong ish smell which didn't feel natural. Not drying, for me. No difficulty taking off my waterproof mascara but didn't seem to do much for my pores. All in all, I don't think I'll be going for a balm type cleanser again.
    Don't waste your money
I prematurely wrote a review for this product the other day before really giving it a proper weeks try. I can now say do not waste your money on this! I dread having to take my makeup off with this every night due to the horrific job it does at removing my eye makeup (Glossier's milky jelly cleanser, Fresh's soy cleanser and Clinque's cleansing balm have never had this problem) and also for the horrible greasy layer it leaves on after you've washed it off. Hyram (Skincare with Hyram on YouTube) wasn't exaggerating in his review when he said he disliked it so much he had to scoop out the product to bin and recycle the pot.
    It's fine
It does a good job of taking all my makeup off including my eyes and an almond size amount is all that's needed, but when you rinse it off, it doesn't feel like you're rinsing it off completely, it feels like there's a slightly greasy layer still on? Fine for a first initial cleanse and a cheaper alternative to Clinique's 'take the day off balm
    Really nice cleansing balm
This is the first cleansing balm I’ve ever used, so I don’t have much to compare but if you’re wondering whether to try this, give it a go! I love the smell, it cleanses all of my make up away and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily. I’ve given it 4 stars and not 5 because I can’t compare it to anything else but I’d definitely buy again!
    Favourite Skincare Product
I’ve been using it for a month now as a morning cleanser and it works miracles for me! I have no more breakouts and it gives me clear and super soft skin. The smell is absolutely amazing and it’s great for oily skin like mine. Definitely recommend!
    Good product
Works great at removing makeup. I use this in the evening as a first cleanse and it works perfectly. Can see the tub lasting a while too as you really don't need much.
    The BEST
This is hands down the best cleansing balm I've ever used. The eucalyptus oil is so uplifting in the mornings, and my skin just looks so plump and fresh after using this. Not drying at all, and such a great price!
    LOVE IT!
I love this! I use this to remove my makeup and sunscreen so as a first cleanse. It leaves my skin so soft and hydrated. And it's an easy way to remove my make up. Good price and good product!
I love this product. It removes every makeup and leaves my skin so soft and fresh. Also, the scent is nice. Great value for money.
