Designed to be used as a hydrating serum or a layerable moisturiser, Then I Met You's Calming Tide Gel Cream is a light-as-air formula that floods your skin with barrier-supporting ceramides and peptides to reveal an even, youthful and supple finish.
With light notes of bergamot and hibiscus, plus a sensorial gel texture, this quick-absorbing formula provides a gentle sweep of lightweight hydration for supple and firm skin year-round. It's powered by the brand's signature Tri-Tide Peptide Complex - three powerful peptides that work in harmony to penetrate your skin effectively - to repair and firm your skin while stimulating collagen production. A blend of skin-fortifying ceramides, brightening niacinamide and healing madecassoside (a compound of the centella asiatica plant that calms redness and supports your skin barrier) then nourishes your skin from within and provides a layer of moisture to lock in your earlier treatment steps.
After double cleansing, toning and using your serum(s) of choice, dispense the Calming Tide Gel Creamâ„¢ into your hands and smooth onto face and neck. Use daily, morning and night.
For normal, oily, combination or acne-prone skin: The Calming Tide Gel Cream™ is the optimal lightweight hydration you’ve always wanted, while calming skin and repairing the skin barrier with ingredients such as madecassoside, niacinamide and ceramides.
For dry skin that just can't get enough hydration: if you have especially dry skin and enjoy layering your skin care, use the Calming Tide Gel Creamâ„¢ as a hydrating serum layer, followed by your usual oil or cream-based moisturizer to lock it all in.

Not for dry skin :)
This wouldn't be good for dry skin, just because it's not enough, but it's extremely good to use like a serum for dry skin before heavier moisturizer :)

Love the bottle..
Recieved this as part of the ultimate skincare edit.. The product does what it says.. There has been a few times where my skin was irritated but when applied this gel cream my skin calmed down right away.. Never experienced this with any other product I've tried.. However, the price is not justified.. Most likely will only repurchase if on offer..

This is a lovely all round moisturiser - I love a gel consistency so this is right up my ally. It made my skin feel lovely moisturised and didn't leave any residue and blended into the skin as you would expect a gel product to do. Very nice!Â

Just okay
Received this as part of an edit. I liked it but it’s very light, doesn’t deliver a lot of hydration. I think the price point is expensive for what it delivers. Also scented which wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea! The packaging means it’s hard to get all the product out compared to a tube etc.Â

Too expensive!
I received this in an edit. It is a nice lightweight moisturiser that makes my skin look really glowy. However sometimes it isn’t hydrating enough so have to layer up. I wouldn’t re purchase this for the price as I have others that I prefer at a lower price.Â

A good layer
As a dry-skinned girl that loves indulgence a gel cream is right up my street to pair with my essence, HA and oils. It's calming and unoffensive yet does the job of making me feel complete. It doesn't pill over or under the other skincare, I place on top. Plus the packaging is just so cute!

Finally!
This moisturiser is heaven in a bottle, from the first use it felt calming on the skin, after reading all the previous reviews I was skeptical to say the least, it seemed to have a mixed response as to whether it worked for you. I got this product in a recent skin beauty box, I saw this was included and I thought it sounded ideal for me ( oily,reactive, acne prone, 53yr old skin) not really expecting too much, after all nothing else has worked in my quest for a moisturiser that doesn't break me out, make me look like an oil slick in an hour. After the initial calming my skin felt moisturised, soft and comfortable, expecting it to break me out I waited and waited, so far so good, looking at my skin after a couple of hour's I was expecting the usual grease ball face, nothing happened, it was amazing, thinking this was too good to be true I used it again and again, after so many years of trying pretty much every moisturiser on the market I'd found it, the one as they say. Be warned this is definitely a serum like moisturiser, the consistency is on the thin side, the bottle is quirky and has to be laid down, be careful it comes out quickly, yes I'd like to be able to see how much is left, but hey I can live with that. For me this is the most amazing product ever, I don't ever want to be without it, total game changer. Hoping now I've found it, it won't get discontinued. Please please don't discontinue it Cult Beauty
