Affordable retinoid
4The Ordinary's Retinol Serum 0.2% in Squalane is a gentle starting point for retinol newcomers. Noticed some skin texture improvement overtime. The formulation is not comparable to other high-end retinoids, but it's affordable and effective.

Doubles as an Oil
4Lovely formula, sits nicely on my skin and I didnt realise it also doubles as a lovely night time oil. My skin struggles to tolerate retinol so this is a nice starter and I will hopefully be able to titrate up so stronger strengths.

Great for beginners of retinol
4Super gentle, it's great for beginners on retinol. The only thing is it's unclear how much you're meant to apply to face and neck... I got through it quite fast because it's a dropper texture, and I'm sure sometimes I used more than I was supposed to. I've since moved on to other products which I believe have had better results. (Medik8)

Haven’t noticed a difference
3Maybe I need to be more patient and work my way up the % of retinol. I’m going to continue using as it doesn’t irritate my skin just not seeing any results after using for a while.Â

Great retinol intro
5I’ve been nervous about using retinol as it’s quite strong and when I tried it previously with another brand I got flaky skin. But this makes your skin feel soft and looks smoother. I love it.

5Love all products of The Ordinary. I have sensitive skin and haven’t had any issues as of yet. Would recommend the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution for event ready skin. Clean and modern packaging.
