The Ordinary100% Organic Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil<p>Sustainably sourced, organic, unrefined and virgin in origin, The Ordinary&#8217;s 100% Organic Virgin Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil is positively bursting with incredible skin-nourishing powers. Derived from the pulp of the sea-buckthorn berry, the oil contains a high concentration of rare palmitoleic acid (omega 7) to nourish and protect skin unlike anything else. It also provides other richly moisturising fatty acids, such as palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid and linoleic acid, as well as antioxidants like tocopherol (Vitamin E), carotenoids and lycopene, all of which help to protect skin from free radical damage and maintain normal barrier function. • Why it's Cult

Stripping back unnecessary packaging and misleading ingredients, The Ordinary offers an abundance of brilliant, high-performing products at surprisingly affordable prices. Derived from the pulp of the sea-buckthorn berry, this 100% pure organic oil contains a high concentration of rare palmitoleic acid (omega 7) to nourish and protect skin unlike anything else, along with a host of other fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E to maintain your complexion’s vital barrier function. Due to its completely unrefined, potent nature, this oil has a natural scent and a strong orange-red hue (this does remain on your skin but can be washed off). For best results, mix a few drops with another treatment, such as The Ordinary’s {Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA}.

The Ordinary - 100% Organic Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil

The Ordinary 100% Organic Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil Reviews

    Bright, Intense Orange
I bought this once and really hated it because of the intensity of the orange and the awful staining. However, I also noticed this made my skin look healthy and just that extra bit radiant. I have now repurchased this twice. I use this with a mixer: 2 pipettes + 1 bottle of Borage Seed Oil to tone down the crazy orange. I still see a radiance in my skin. 2 pipettes + body lotion. Why not share the love with other parts of our body? I see someone has suggested using it as a mask! What a great idea! A bottle will last you ages and most likely will go off before 6 months. Mine started to smell off around 6 months.
    This oil is not practical
This oil is not at all practical, it’s bright orange. I am very disappointed as I can’t use it because it’s stains everything and looks horrible on.
    Great product
I was never much into oils as I have combination skin but decided to give this one a try. Was not disappointed, this is a great product. I use it both on days when I do stronger treatments like retinoids/AHA’s/BHA’s and when I have really dry skin, like after a night out. It leaves skin so smooth and plump. This can be used as a mask that you take off or at night, as it does leave you orange (protect pillows and pjs!)
    Inflammation warrior
I use oil mainly for inflammation and rashes. And with that it works excellently.
    Sea buckthorn fruit oil
This oil is fantastic! Good for dry skin it has made huge difference for me!
    Feels nourishing
I use this oil every few nights at the moment, just as some extra nourishment for my skin. My skin overall definitely feels lovely and soft and quite plump at the moment, but if I were to use it more regularly it would start to clog my pores a little. Also, the staining is quite annoying!! Not too difficult to get out of whites though if you wash them the next day.
    Works well
Apart from staining (just make sure u don’t stain bed sheets & clothes after applying; use any tissues or old clothes to avoid staining) IT WORKS WELL & does what it says. * moistures *glows *hydrates
    Great night oil
This is a great night oil. Leaves the skin moisturised and feeling soft in the morning.
The best omega oil out there!
Sea Buckthorn is packed full of goodness and contains omega-7, besides all the other omegas. Omega-7 improves skin hydration, structure, elasticity and has anti-wrinkle benefits. The yellow coloring comes from the anti-oxidants in the oil and these are also beneficial in protecting the skin barrier from the daily environmental onslaughts! It is difficult to use due to the color. I use it as a treatment as often as possible when I have a bit of time to spare! A good time is after working out -after cleansing, apply the oil, lounge around as long as you can before showering. You don’t have to rinse it all off – the yellow coloring will rinse off first as it is water soluble. And the little yellow tinge that remains can be covered with whatever tinted moisturizer or foundation you want to apply. You could even invest in a second moisturizer that will compensate for a yellow undertone on days that you use the oil.
Dry oil with intense staining effect
So I've tried this for a while now and while it does leave your skin soft it's a massive pain to use. Do not use in the morning and make sure you have at least an hour before bed. This will horrificaĺly stain anything and everything. I use It as a mask but It takes a LOT to remove it from your skin and it's important you do...a ruined pillowcase, towel, cloth and blanket later. Even with stain remover, it does not wash out, ever. Its application is very dry for oil and takes a lot of massaging in. Will use until finished then never again.
    Better products out there..
It might be hydrating but you really can’t use this at day or within an hour or so of going to bed. It leaves your face like an Oompa Loompa. I also find it less hydrating than rosehip oil, which also had less colour.
The Ordinary - Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil
Fantastic product for dry skin, sometimes I leave it on for 30 minutes as a mask or I leave it on overnight. It has made a huge difference for me!
    Mind your sheets
I can't say I've seen a huge improvement having used this nightly for a couple of weeks. Despite mixing it with a generous quantity of other products, the orange colour is so vivid it really puts me off using it. It leaves marks on my white sheets (not sure if it stains but I presume not) and I honestly look like I've got jaundice when I apply it. Also the odor is quite unpleasant.
    BRIL
Mateeeee this oil it the best!! Honestly, my skin is glowing, used alongside Aloe Vera gel, a little mix of rosehip oil and any other oil (pumpkin seed, evening primrose etc) gives the skin LIFEEE!!! WE STAN!
