A celebration of Mediterranean jasmine, Terry de Gunzburgs Lumiere DEpices is a sparkling citrus-y floral beautifully light and effervescent with a vibrant femininity. Sweet but never saccharine, this opens with a symphony of citrus notes the bitterness of grapefruit, zesty-ness of blood orange and aromatic quality of bergamot before evolving to heady heart of white jasmine, red rose and orange blossom. Base notes of nutmeg and clove then lend a subtle, spicy warmth that lingers enveloping the wearer with a subtle, sexy warmth that hums beneath the clean, awakening bouquet.

Not for me
It sounded fantastic, all the notes I enjoy to smell, but upon arrival and my first ‘spritz’ it was an instant no no. Far too heavy and overpowering, “citrusy and light” - Couldn’t be further from the truth, the description seems to far off the mark? BUT, scents and fragrance are so personal, I should have tested first (I would advise this at all costs before purchasing), an expensive mistake for me so lesson learned.
