Smells bad and not for eye makeup removal

4

I'm used to the smell now and I use this every time my skin is feeling dull or congested and I think I'll keep repurchasing this cleanser as a staple in my routine. I really don't know who thought this would be good for removing eye makeup though. It stings like hell if it gets in your eyes!

Worst Product Ever 1 star because there is no minus stars.

The smell in the product is the most disgusting thing i have ever experience. As an alternative, I try to use it as brush cleaner since it's impossible to stand the smell on the face, but i ended up putting it in the trash. The brushes had to be washed again, i don't understand how is it possible to have a product in the market like this!

It is really bad... It burns the eyes... I tried to use it only on the face avoiding eyes... but when washing it away it stings the same... The worst cleanser ever...

Stings my eyes!

2

Definitely not for waterproof eye makeup and it stings so badly! Also, I don’t know if I got a bad one or it’s the vitamin C but the smell is really unpleasant. Not buying this again.

I love it as a cleanser but not a make up remover

4

I adore this cleanser and am up to my third bottle, as long as you don't get it near your eyes its non-irritating to slightly sensitive skin, I rarely break out anymore and I feel like my complexion is brighter after use and it doesn't dry the skin out. I can definitely see the difference when I change back to a generic cleanser while I'm waiting for the next bottle to ship from the UK. The only reason it's not a five star review is that it doesn't shift waterproof mascara panda eyes very easily.

It's ok

This is definitely not for removing your makeup because it doesn't foam up or turn into a cleansing milk in contact with water. I got a small size in their vitamin C kit but I wouldn't have purchased this oil on it's own. It's on the thicker side of cleansing oils in my opinion and it does a good job of hydrating and brightening tired, flaky skin when you don't want to dry your skin out even further. Also, it tastes very bitter if it touches the mouth during rinsing.

I only used this as night routine on holiday, it took really well all SPF off, I avoid eye area because of the reviews, not particularly impressed, did its job but could not see a big difference.

Definitely NOT for use around the eyes!

1

This product clearly says it’s amazing at removing even waterproof eye make up, unfortunately, I didn’t get that far! It burnt my eyes so much, I was in agony! I will never use this product again and feel like I’ve wasted £35.

I had such high hopes for this product, but it really hurt my eyes. I am such a Sunday Riley fan but not of this product

Nice but stung my eyes

3

I really only tried using this to remove eye makeup once, as it made my eyes so red and burning that I was too scared to try it again. Having said that, I now use this to cleanse my skin in the mornings and it does leave it feeling soft and bouncy. My skin is very oily yet sensitive and this cleanser is lovely so long as it stays the heck away from my eyes. The reason I'm rating it 3 stars instead of 4 is because it literally has no smell, and a huge part of the joy of spending big bucks on facial products is the 'sniff...and ahhhhh' aspect of it. For me.
