    Sonya Dakar Eye Wash Reviews

    Oily mess
I didn't get on with this at all. The only big fail in an otherwise great Hirons Box. The oil stung my eyes, soaked my eyelashes and I had to use another cleanser to get it off. I gave it several goes and then it went into the bin. Didn't smell very nice either - kind of like grapeseed oil.
    Night time treat
I know this is "just" a cleanser BUT it has such a lovely scent. If you're not a fan of lavender then this one is not for you. Like an lazy afternoon on a lavender field. This takes off my makeup and helps me relax. Some times I use this as a makeup remover and sometimes as a second cleanse. Takes off my mascara like a dream. I gently massage it on with my fingers and wipe off. One pump goes a long way!
    Melts Eye Makeup
Melts my eye makeup without stinging my eyes. My lashes are very sensitive and kept falling out with other eye makeup removers (I've tried them all). Some stubborn eye makeup still lingers, but that is because I rub the eye wash on my eye and not INTO my eye. I'm fine with using a Q-tip and a water based eye makeup remover the hard to reach spots.
    The best eye makeup remover!
I purchased this product last month and it literally is the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. Not only does it remove your mascara easily, but also it conditions your eyes and lashes.
    Doesn't rinse off
This did not work for me at all. I got this in the Caroline Hirons box and the first question I had was "why do I need a separate oil cleanser for my eyes?" I double cleanse and my normal oil cleansers wash everything away, including stubborn eye makeup (Tata Harper. Get it.). Having to use something separate for my eyes makes it such a hassle. In any case, I decided to try it since I had it on hand. The oil is nice, it smells good, but it's thick. It takes away 95% of makeup, but somehow still left some of my glitter eyeliner behind (for the record, Tata's does a better job at that). The worst part of it though, is that it does not emulsify. Despite the bottle stating that you can "rinse off" (alternative provided was wiping off, but I don't like that), the oil stays put like there's no tomorrow. The feeling after applying water in an attempt to rinse it off was not pleasant - it was sticky, gunky and gooey, and it got into my eyes. I ended up having to wipe it off with a muslin cloth (which defeats the purpose of it being gentle because I'm wiping my eye area!) and following up with another cleanser to remove any residue. Including this in my skincare regime means I'll have to triple cleanse. No thanks.
