SILKE London’s The Silk Hair Wrap is a pure silk slip-on, slip-off cocoon designed to condition and protect precious strands from the friction that takes place while you’re sleeping. • Why it's Cult

Made from the finest, 100% silk, SILKE London’s Hair Wrap bids ‘bye bye’ to bed-head, so you wake up each morning to smooth, glossy and frizz-free locks. Ultra-chic and comfortable to wear, ‘The Eva’ features sexy black silk-satin and ‘cocoons’ hair (whether long or short) to extend time between washes and blow-dries, minimise breakage and reduce the friction that contributes to split-ends and static.

Who would have thought that something so seemingly simple could prove so revelatory? SILKE London’s The Silk Hair Wrap is a pure silk slip-on, slip-off cocoon designed to condition and protect precious strands from the friction that takes place while you’re sleeping. Worn nightly, this stylish solution acts as a protective barrier between hair and your pillowcase – providing the ideal environment for strands to thrive. The results? Because hair is protected during its ‘Anagen’ (growing) phase, you should see an increase in length and thickness, as well as an improvement in condition as the silk helps to distribute oils evenly along each hair shaft. • How to use

STEP 1

Arrange and hold your hair in place so it's easy for you to scoop into your SILKE Hair Wrap, releasing locks into the silk cocoon as it slides on. We like to twist ours up into a bun at the crown of our head to deliver a subtle wave come morning. But there are many different ways to put your hair up so it looks great when you let it back down.

STEP 2

Be sure to tuck all your hair within your wrap so the elasticated silk edge is completely covering your hairline and the tip of your ears, this will ensure it sits tight, protecting and nourishing your locks all through the night.

SILKE London The SILKE Hair Wrap - The Eva Reviews

Falls off in night
For this price expect it to stay on my head, useless!
Game changer
I have long, thick, textured hair and this totally saves my hair from matting over night. I found it comfortable to wear too.
Not worth it!
I was given one of these as a gift. I love Cult Beauty (especially The Ordinary Products and Pici Glow) but was really disappointed in this. It was initially too tight and then the elastic wore out. It left marks on my forehead - just as bad as knotted hair! I've gone back to using a silk pillowcase instead. These can be bought from Amazon etc at a comparable price and have the added benefit of not leaving a creased face in the morning! Perhaps CB can start stocking these instead?
Glenn Close, Norma Desmond realness
This is my second Silke hair wrap and I won't be without it. I love it. My hair is thick, colour treated and loves to tangle itself into knots overnight and brushing them out leaves me with a fluffy, frizzy mess and tears in my eyes from pulling. I use this every night and I wake up with tangle free hair which looks great. You do have to bundle your hair up a little so as another reviewer said, it won't be straight, but as someone who loves a bit of a wave I don't mind at all. It can slip, which is a bit annoying, but I found that happened more when I'd been using it for a few months as the elastic wore out which is the reason I replaced my old one (I had 'the Sofia' before the Eva- the Eva definitely shows wear a lot less.) As a bonus, I find I don't have to wash my hair as much anymore, which is great if you're like me and you hate drying your hair. I've recommended it to everyone I know and when the elastic wears out again, I'll reorder straight away.
Works but not for me
I would love to give this product 5* because it does leave your hair in a much better state than you can imagine. No frizz, no kinks, nice and silky smooth upon waking. So it does work. Unfortunately I find it really uncomfortable to sleep in, it feels tight and the front knot (which is a lovely design feature) is really hard. I keep waking up with a dent on my forehead ( front knot) and, worst of all, a forehead full of spots... Yes the rubbing makes me break out terribly. I have not had spots on my forehead for 20 years (I am 40) and these are definitely being caused by the cap as they appear exactly where the cap has been rubbing. Sad times for me, I am sure you will find this product beneficial, I seem to be the only one having this issue with it. So don't be put off, it really does work.
Great product!
I've been using this for a little over a month and I agree with the reviews: it really does work. For me the best thing is that I don't have to wash my hair as often (usually my hair is slightly dirty after just one day). Other benefits: when using this your coloured dry shampoo won't transfer on you (silk) pillowcase. Win win! Tip: I know it says "dry clean only" but I wash it in the machine with my other silk products (in a washing bag) using the "hand wash"-cycle and detergent for silk and cashmere and skip the fabric softener. I've done it a couple of times and it looks brand new!
Perfect for processed hair
For the past few years, I have steadily processed my hair blonder and blonder. After my last salon visit, where I wanted to go a very bright, light blonde all over. It took a toll on my hair, and while my normal post-salon visit products helped bounce it back to some normalcy, I was noticing my hair was getting very roughed up during my sleep. I figured I needed something to help secure my hair at night and protect it. This absolutely helps keep my hair happy and actually helps me not use heat styling as often as I used to. I blow out my hair after showering, wrap it up in a loosed twist, secure it with my silke wrap, and in the morning I have really pretty no heat waves. I just have to flat iron a little by my roots near my face. My hair's cuticle feels smoothed out and nourished and overall my hair has become less frizzier over time. It fits well on my head and it doesn't move around at night, yet doesn't leave me with creases in my forehead in the morning. It's comfortable to wear and I can't fathom going to sleep without it.
Silky London hair wrap
Literally a game changer!! I have wavy frizzy hair - if I blow dry it straight at night and put my hair wrap on the next morning I wake up with immaculate frizz free hair full of body. This is an absolute time saver in the mornings before work. If you’re hovering over the add to basket button - just do it, you won’t regret.
Uncomfortable
I wouldn't normally leave a bad review and I was so excited to get this. It does stop your hair being frizzy and knotted in the morning but I have only worn this 3 times and don't know if I can anymore. It is so uncomfortable to wear and actually is giving me headaches. I have medium hair so it doesn't use up much space in the product but it is still very uncomfortable. For the price I'm very disappointed and wish I had just bought something cheaper aka a shower cap :(
Good but pricey
Frizz and static is non existent but the elastic makes the turban fall off mid way through the night ! A very costly item for this to happen, I should have got the silk pillowcase.
Believe the Hype
I treated myself to this for my birthday, and told my partner to pretend I was Elizabeth Taylor - because let's face it, not everyone suits turbans. More importantly, though - yes, it works. My hair is chemically straightened, dyed, and regularly thrashed with heated appliances. My hair suffers. Putting this on every night means I no longer wake up looking like Medusa. On the contrary, my hair is sleek, tidy and knot-free. My hair is in better condition now, after using the Silke wrap nightly for a month, than it has been in years. I'm also finding I don't need to wash my hair quite so frequently either, which is no bad thing. (I can wash on the 3rd, or even the 4th, day, rather than the 2nd, as I used to.) There are three things I'd say: Firstly, because you have to tuck your hair into the wrap, it won't be straight in the morning, which is fine if you like wavy hair, but if, like me, you prefer a sleeker look, you'll still need to style a bit before you go out. Secondly, if you don't have loads of hair to fill the wrap, it'll slide down over your forehead and almost over your eyes as you sleep. Thirdly, because it's dry-clean only, you might need two. (Unless you've got a same-day dry cleaner in your 'hood.) These are minor points, though, for the benefit this product brings to your hair. I've only had it a month, and I can't imagine living without it.
