Flat as a pancake.
No lift and did not revive hair between washes.

Good to provide texture
I’m a female, with shoulder length, (very) straight, black Asian hair. I use this on the ends to accentuate the layers I have that usually fall flat. A great sized bottle to keep in the makeup bag.Â

Root lift!
I really do like hair powders because of how easy they are to quickly add volume without interfering too much with lengths but I don't usually use them because they can be a little sticky but this is not sticky at all, no mess either because it only dispenses a small amount and it becomes completely invisible on my dark roots. If you are looking for a lifted root, volume, or are trying to revive a tired blowdry this little blue bottle will do wonders.

'Hate washing my hair Committee'
Not only is my hair chemically underpressure, more of a reason why I try not to wash my hair too often. But during lockdown, it has given me more of a reason to not wash my hair as often. Nonetheless, on the day I tried this I can confirm my hair was greasy and flat as ever, after parting my hair in various ways, I sprinkled a little bit of this magic stuff, and OMG truth be told it really does a) less shine (or shall I say grease) b) so extremely full looking, not flat at all, and overall so volumised. If you see me with lovely bouncy hair from the root, expect and definitely assume it is thanks to this baby! It also has this gripping feeling to it which is hard to explain but would be great to style hair with also. Highly recommend!

Big hair in a tiny bottle!
I’ve got really long, thick hair and because of it’s weight it can sometimes look a little lacklustre at the roots. I’ve used a hair powder before but didn’t get along with it as I hated the tacky feeling it left me with and it just seemed to make my scalp greasy. Enter Ruffians with the perfect alternative! The amount of volume and texture you can create after a tiny sprinkle of this means the product lasts for ages, and it has great hold so you don’t have to reapply the next day. As long as you go in sparingly at first and build up the amount of product you won’t get that sticky feeling and as an added bonus, this didn’t aggravate my sensitive scalp as most products do!
