I always like to keep my lips soft and hydrated because when I do it takes a beautiful pink hue, I wouldn't need lipstick. Because of this, I'm a certified lip balm addict and I have always finished a balm that I buy. There's a lot of lip products in the market but less than half are true as moisturising as they claim to be rather they dry out your lips with further application. Unfortunately my holy grail the body shop cocoa butter lip balm was discontinued and I found I had to look for a new product. Enter RMS, I thought the ingredients list looks great but the price tag - most expensive lip balm I've ever bought but I was getting quite desperate and I imagined it should be good.
Officially I can say that just because it costs a lot doesn't mean it's good quality. This had the consistency of Vaseline but less sticky and thick. The container was made of a firm glass and a tin lid - genuinely that's where the money all £22 and £4 probably on the contents of the product. It doesn't even moisturise it just sits there on your lips. It's not hydrated it just lathers itself over the dry skin on your lips. I was so upset I called to ask if I could just send it back but obviously as I used it I couldn't. This is good for say moisturising dry parts of your face on the go if you suffer from the flaky skin without feeling heavy. I imagine they were struggling to market this glorified organic Vaseline and threw a lip at the title to encourage it to sell.
In summary, I'm not the type to write reviews unless I really love a product but now apparently when I really hate one. This product should be priced at £4, that's its value. It's a colossal waste of money.
