A soothing, creamy clay cleanser-meets-mask, May Lindstrom Skin’s ‘The Honey Mud’ is the perfect excuse to be more ritualistic in your approach to skin maintenance; lush, velveteen and indulgent, this nourishing formula cleans your face of residual daily grime – liberating your pores from pollutants whilst replenishing precious moisture – to leave your face irresistibly soft, smooth and luminous. This also works wonderfully as a treatment mask – the halloysite clay (one of the world’s finest clays) helps to gently exfoliate and decongest, without leaving skin feeling tight or overexposed. Just apply a thin layer over clean dry skin, and leave to work its clarifying, skin-brightening magic!
As a cleanser: Massage a plump pea sized dollop into warm, damp skin, making circular motions with the pads of your fingertips to release makeup and debris before rinsing clear.
As a mask: Apply liberally to clean, dry skin. Allow to penetrate for 10-20 minutes as desired.

Luxurious mask but no real results
After struggling to get hold of a sample, I finally took the plunge and purchased the Honey Mud. While I love the indulgent scent, the luxe packaging, and lush texture of the product, I am yet to notice a difference in the condition of my skin that I can attribute to this mask/cleanser after using it now for three months. I will, of course, persevere as it's a pleasure to use, but I doubt I will be re-purchasing considering the poor price-results ratio.

Everyone should have the Honey Mud
An utterly beautiful Cleanser & Masque. This brings joy every time I use it. I apply it to a damp skin as a Cleanser, leave it on whilst I shower (to feed in all the beautiful ingredients) and rinse it afterwards. Smells so beautiful, like honey mixed with jasmine and Ylang-Ylang. It's also wonderful to mix it in with the Problem Solver, as the results from this combo are staggering! Everyone with acne-prone skin should try this mask combo! You can’t go wrong with the May’s line, money are so well spent. I don’t know why I didn’t try them sooner.

Smelly Kelly loves the smelly
I used this cleansing mud as a mask in the end because as a cleanser it didn't really do anything for me. My skin is very oily yet dehydrated and I really thought it would be perfect for my skin type, but to be honest once I washed it off my face felt like it needed a 'proper cleanse' to rid it of the remains of the mud cleanser. As a mask it felt like a lovely treat due to the gorgeous smell, and after giving some of it to a friend who suffers from acne I think the wonderful ingredients can be very healing. But for me it didn't quite wow me enough. It's a shame because I love a lot of May Lindstrom's other products. I WANT to like it more if that makes sense?

For a self pampering weekend
I love the texture and smell of this cleaning mud so much. However, it's too pricey to use as a daily cleanser. So, I use it just for a special day/weekend. I love to combine it with The Clean Dirt.

Lush
I use this as a mask since it is expensive. Will stock up when they do a promotion (goodies bag/ GWP). It is very luxurious and I love the smell. I wash my face and slather this on and walk around with it on until I take a shower. I rinse it off in the shower and it leaves my face baby soft.

No improvement
A very expensive, luxurious and sweet smelling mask. I've used about a third and have yet to see any real improvement to my skin. Claims of reducing redness or clearing and brightening skin have not materialised. It definitely feels luxurious due to the packaging and the thickness of the mask but at this price point it definitely is not as effective as I'd hope it would be. I think in the future I will stick to double masking - using a clay mask first and then followed by a home made honey mask. I've seen much better results doing this than with this overpriced mask. In summary, if you're looking to pamper yourself then go ahead. But if you want results, there are much better options out there for a detox/hydrating mask.

Antibacterial, hydrating & intoxicating aroma
I love The Honey Mud. I use it primarily as a mask on slightly damp skin to help it spread. To remove I wet my hands and emulsify the mask to use as a cleanser. It is beautiful, but unfortunately due to the thickness of the product I tend to go through the pot very quickly. It is expensive and therefore I consider it a luxury treat rather than a necessity.

Beaitiful mask for all skin types
This mask smell like a combination of honey, bee pollen and cocoa. It doesn't dry up like many other clay masks do, yet it does draw impurities out. Skin feels super smooth afterwards. I use this upto 3 times a week as a mask.

Best mask
I have never used this as a cleanser, but this is the BEST MASK EVER. It smells wonderful, and is both cleansing with the mud component and hydrating with the honey component. Love it. Ordered 2 at the time when they were doing a promotion with a free full sized jasmine mist (which smells wonderful)

Amazing
I love this, it is expensive but it has so many uses. As a cleanser on damp skin, (everyone says it isn't a good cleanser but I love it) a mask by itself, mixed with the problem solver, or on a spot overnight. So calming on the skin and gentle but you'll see a huge difference. Love May's skincare line x
