Cult Product

Cult product! I have oily skin and have being using it for over 6 months now, my skin is less oily, black heads are less visible and brighter skin tone. Using it as a cleanser (mixed with the honey mud and water) - this is not a cleanser to remove makeup, this is an exfoliating/treatment type of cleanser. Most amazing product, worth the investment!

Dirt cleanser

I got this in a set with the honey mud and that is my favourite way to use - mixed in honey mud as a mask for 20 or 30 mins. But my honey mud is running low so have been using on its own and it's really growing on me as a standalone product. Leaves my skin looking bright and fresh. I mix in a little plastic container and find that if I mix too much it stores well for a few days. Very messy but also good for travelling since it's not a liquid (though I decant just a little into a tub to avoid travelling with a glass bottle. A little goes a long way so will last for ages.

Dirt is good

I can't use it as a daily cleanser because it's too harsh for my sensitive skin. However, I can use it as a face scrub for once/twice a week.

The best cleanser I have ever used

I am in my thirties and I have normal-oily skin and I have been using the Clean Dirt for the past 6 months, 2-3 times a week (and there's still a tiny bit left, time for re-purchase!). I also use The Jasmine Garden Tonic before applying my moisturizer and The Honey Mud one a week. Besides lasting a really long time I really love how my skin looks and feels, it helped diminish my acne scars and it keeps my pores clean and clear from blackheads, I also noticed my skin tends to breakout much less than before. The only down side of course is the price, but after trying lots of products in the past 10 years that caused even more damage to my skin, I am glad that I finally found a good cleanser with all natural ingredients that did wonders for my skin!

Fantastic Cleanser!

I purchased this a couple of months back and have started using it now and wow! It has blown me away, definitely one of my must-haves. Gives such a glow to the complexion and skin is left soooooo soft but not dry! Gentle enough to use everyday as an exfoliator/second step cleanse, or can make it more of a paste and use it maybe 3 times a week. Very versatile product. The fact that it comes as a dry product is great, because it won't go off. Very big size will last ages! Oh I'm in love.

Very effective

This exceeded by expectations in terms of effectiveness, leaving my skin increadibly soft, clean, and glowing. It is ever so slightly tricky to use, it took me a few tries to figure out how to add just enough water to make a mousse rather than a runny mess! Having said this, I am prepared to continue using this for the outstanding results. It's also good value for money - I can see the bottle lasting me a long time based on 2-3 uses per week.

Beautiful exfoliator

This gave me a very soft and supple skin ready for the problem solver mask. I use it twice a week and it worked wonders for me. A keeper!

Effective with good results

I have tried another 'dirt' cleanser offered on Cult and found them both comparable. This is a little more pricey and has more of a 'dirt' consistency in texture and an earthy smell. It does take a bit of trial and error to get the right number of water drops into the palm of your hand to mix and you will get some muddy drips down your arms and spatters across your sink but after you manage to get the rest on your face, it gives a gentle exfoliation and removal of grime. My face feels clean but not dry and I have had no adverse reaction to this despite having sensitive skin. My issues with this are; the dirty sink after using this is a bugger to clean, face cloths take on a dirty colour even after washing and the product itself is expensive. However, I do like that it is natural and I am not putting chemicals on my skin. It is effective, the bottle is nice and looks chic in the bathroom, the concept is good and it travels well when I decant into a jar -so I do not have to carry liquids, creams, etc. through airports. It lasts a long time = cost effective. Overall it is a good product which I will probably re-purchase. (If not this one then the other offered by Cult.)

A great treatment for oily, congested skin

This is my first May Lindstrom product and I must say I'm quite loving it. The product feels very luxurious to use and smell is very uplifting. I use it twice a week and my skin felt clean and it does help to decongest my skin. But I do need to follow up with hydrating facial oil. All in all this product will be a staple in my beauty shelf and I hope Cult Beauty will bring in the mini version once they're released later this year because I really want to try the Blue Cocoon, Youth Dew and Problem Solver before I splurge on full size products.

Good results but pricey and difficult to use

This purchase was among the first of my high end ones. I was attracted to the relatively simple ingredients and the use of a water activated vitamin C (typically difficult to keep stable in liquid products). I initially thought I would use this regularly but to be honest, it is such a faff that I really only use it if I have some time to spend. It is very difficult to mix- the water runs off the powder and in turn makes the powder run off your hand, so it takes a while to get a knack to it and minimise product loss. It fizzes slightly and with a dabble from fingertips turns into a sort of liquidy mousse ready to apply. It is fairly harsh as there are still tiny bits in the mousse, and since I already use other exfoliants (usually acids) I use this more for the cleansing properties of the clay. I only move it around enough to coat my face, and I then leave it on as a mask for a couple of minutes. It smells divine and the cinnamon warms the skin, so it really feels like it is opening pores and cleansing. However by the same token, I think it would be quite sensitising if used every day. It does dry quickly and gets quite tight, so I tend to wash it off before then, or apply a plain sheet mask (Muji sells them) over the top to keep the clay moist and comfortable. On washing off, the product will stain your facecloth, so I use a dark coloured one for this. Skin feels amazingly soft considering the product doesn't feel overtly moisturising while on, and it feels cleansed but not stripped. I definitely feel that subsequent products go on better and my skin seems to drink my serums. All in all it does have good results, but I've knocked off a couple of stars because it is an expensive product which is really rather difficult to use. I feel I've had comparable results with more user friendly products- this only really wins on the smell- and I wouldn't repurchase.
