Good for hard water areas
I bought this because I live in a hard water area and I thought it might help with the condition of my hair (fine, curly, bleached & highlights). I use it once or twice a month to combat the effects of the harsh water, and it definitely helps. Makes my other products, such as hydrating serums and sprays, work much better! I wish it were cheaper, but I would definitely consider repurchasing!

Best for a LOT of build up or oily hair
Bought this because my Larry King shampoo of choice was out of stock and I needed a weekly, cleansing shampoo for build up. I've specifically just moved to a hard water area, so gave this a go. If you have oily hair, very very hard water, or a lot of build up, you'll love this. My hair is on the dry/damaged side, so I do find it pretty drying, but if you've got oily hair, a lot of product build up, or incredibly hard water, you'll love this

Good for curly hair too!
I have a lot of hair, and it's very long and curly, and to top it off, I bleach it and dye it pink. All of this means plenty of leave-in treatments, oils, UV filters, styling products... Pair this with living in London, and you get an itchy scalp! This is a great shampoo to clarify without stripping hair or colour, it doesn't leave my thirsty strands feeling like straw and the scent is super elegant and fresh. It has a decent lather even if it's free of SLS and definitely gives you a good cleanse from root to tip! I like to use it before I style my hair because it helps with volume, and also when I wait a little too long in between washes to instantly soothe my scalp. I wouldn't use it for every wash because I prefer to alternate it with other nourishing formulas as my hair needs all the love it can get!

Effective & a more gentle detox option
I love this for more regular use of a detox shampoo as it helps lift-off and cleanse buildup from my scalp and roots and is even gentle enough to use on the body of the hair without being too strong or harsh, for me with psoriasis this is a great option/alternative to reduce my need for more harsher shampoos with my regular cleansing and have bigger gaps before I need to use them.

My hair has never smelled better
This shampoo has been a saviour for me (If you live in London and have hard water then you'll know why). I have thick hair that can feel greasy easily and I always end up with product build-up so I love a shampoo like this that gets really foamy and bubbly when I work it into my hair. I have been pairing City Life Shampoo with Liquid Hairbrush and not only are they the perfect duo, but my hair has never smelled better. The refill tubes are really handy too and I add them to my gym bag because they're not heavy and I don't need to worry about them spilling.
