What’s more, it uses the entirety of the fruit (we’re talking oil, milk, husk and shell) to transport your skin and senses to a sultry destination of your choice. THE STORY BEHIND KOPARI BEAUTY

Dreamt up in 2015 by Gigi Goldman and Kiana Cabell, Kopari Beauty was founded through the duo’s obsession with coconuts – in particular coconut oil. Using it as a cure-all ingredient, they utilised its benefits in the kitchen, on their kids and, of course, during their beauty routines. With that in mind, they decided to share their not-so-secret secret with the rest of the world. Cue: Kopari Beauty. As one of the first labels to make use of coconut oil in its beauty products, the brand focused on the quality of its primary ingredient, by using a small batch of coconuts that are hand-picked, never exposed to extreme temperatures and carefully cold-pressed. The result? Premium skin care products powered by coconut oil.

MEET THE KOPARI BEAUTY FOUNDERS

Coming from two different worlds, Kopari Beauty’s co-founders were brought together through their passion for coconuts. While Gig Goldman was a stay-at-home mother of three, who didn’t have the time to devote to her beauty routine, Kiana Cabell was growing up in Hawaii spending her summers living on a catamaran. In her spare time, Kiana would collect wild coconuts and use their content to create beauty concoctions. After moving to New York for culinary school, Kiana was disappointed by all the junk found in food so decided to further her studies in health and nutrition - which exposed her to the versatility and health benefits of coconut oil. Uncovering the gap in the market for coconut-infused beauty, she collaborated with industry veterans James Brennan, Bryce Goldman and his wife Gigi Goldman to create the industry’s first coconut-powered beauty brand.
