First of all I have to hand it to Cult Beauty staff for helping me pick a colour match - I was worried about buying online without testing, but I emailed them the shades of my existing KA foundations/concealers and they picked the perfect match (SF05 for those who use the Sensual Skin Concealer in SX05/04) Texture: light as air and very watery with a serum-like 'slip'. You only need a few drops to cover your whole face so, although expensive, this does last. I've tried it with both fingers and a brush, and find although a brush gives a perfectly velvet finish, it also guzzles up the product so it's fingers for me.
Finish: utterly gorgeous. This glides on leaving a imperceptible finish, skin looks radiant and pretty much flawless. BUT the coverage is very light so any areas that aren't flawless (spots, marks, scars) don't get covered. This is ok, I go over them with a concealer, but be aware that this is very light coverage.
Best for: oily, combination skins. It doesn't cling to dry patches as much as some other 'liquid to powder' finishes, but it also doesn't look as luminous on drier areas and I wouldn't recommend it to any dry-skinned friends.
Long lasting? Sadly no, I find without powder this beautiful finish has disappeared after 2-3hrs, and with powder can be pushed to 4-5. The good thing is because this is light you can just apply a thin layer over the top, but that's more ££ per day. I'll keep experimenting with primers and powders to try and prolong the wear, because it really does leave a 'perfect skin' finish. Just a shame about the longevity.
