Achieve fuller, natural-looking lashes with The Expert Mascara by Kevyn Aucoin. With an innovative two-sided wand that uses an arched topside to thicken and separate and a defined underside to lift and lengthen, the mascara delivers undeniable volume. The creamy formula contains Japanese Camelias Oil, which improves the strength and elasticity of lashes to prevent breakage. Weightless and buildable, the mascara creates fluttery, clump-free, silky lashes that wow.

Using the arched topside of the brush, deposit mascara by rubbing the wand first from side to side, then brush outward to thicken and separate. Rotate brush to the defined underside and shimmy across lashes to lift and lengthen. Concentrating mascara at the base of the lash root, then sweeping outward and upward creates a thicker lash look with the ends separated and the base well defined. Do not pump air into the mascara tube which dries out the product sooner; try twirling it around instead. Wipe brush with a tissue to remove any dried mascara or excess.

wasn't expecting to love it so much
I just ran out of Scandal Eyes mascara which has been the best mascara I have ever used and was looking for a replacement. My expectations were fairly low as I usually have the hardest time finrding a mascara that 1) stays put 2) doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes 3) gives me volume. This one does all three, plus it has a gorgeous burgundy shade. Very impressed, easy to remove, soft on the lashes and yet to my great surprise, it does NOT smudge. At All.

Disappointment
I was impressed by praising reviews and gave it a try. Applied nicely on my lashes and enhanced them, but flaked after a couple of hours.

Love this
I love the shade, endlessly more flattering than black, I love the consistency and the brush. Goes on like a dream without clumping. I certainly wouldn't call this a false lash effect - not what I was looking for. Pretty and surprisingly natural.
