The purest representation of seaweed’s natural skin rejuvenating qualities we’ve laid eyes on, this innovative bathing treat will transform your bath into a temple of nourishing skin enhancement. Featuring hand-harvested seaweed from Margate’s Jurassic coast, this treatment is packed with natural antioxidants and essential vitamins, which have been used for generations in the repair of skin.
Though not traditionally synonymous with ultra-nourishing skin care, England’s Margate coastline is, in fact, a treasure trove of unbelievably beneficial skin care ingredients – as discovered by ingenious skin and fragrance brand, HAECKELS. Utilising their discoveries, HAECKELS have hand-crafted this Traditional Seaweed Bath (in their clifftop Margate lab) to transform your bath into a temple of pure rejuvenation. Packed with antioxidants and essential vitamins, the seaweed used is fucus serratus, which releases its potent, nourishing alginate when it rehydrates with the hot water in your bath. Used for generations, seaweed baths are renowned for their power to repair the skin, helping to diminish signs of ageing, as well as improving cellulite, arthritis and eczema.
Soak the seaweed in a bath of very hot water. The seaweed will naturally rehydrate as the hot water aids the release of the plant’s alginate; squeezing the seaweed will also help to release more of the vitamin rich gel. Add cool water to ensure a comfortable bath temperature before entering and release the seaweed from net bag if desired. Take care entering and leaving the bath as the gel is very slippery. Seaweed can be dried and re-used within 3 days. After use, this also makes an excellent organic fertiliser for your garden.
