Robert began his career at The National Theatre. He moved through the ranks, then headed up the Make Up and Wig Department at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. He returned to London in 1993 and began working in fashion, film, music and advertising. At the end of the 90's he worked as Beauty & Grooming Editor for Attitude magazine and succeeded this with a readers' advice column on grooming. His editorial work has been showcased everywhere from Vogue, Dazed & Confused, Another Magazine and Elle, to Harpers Bazaar and Grazia. Robert was instrumental in creating the iconic looks for Supermodel Carmen Kass on the Max Factor catwalk campaign and has done similar work for Simple, Boots 17, Nivea, Oil of Olay, Astor, Avon, Johnson & Johnson and Dove. He has designed the make up, hair and wigs for art-house films such as "Colour Me Kubrick" starring John Malkovich and Marisa Berenson. It was his ability to create beautiful make up as well as craft elegant hair that led Interview Magazine to celebrate him as "A Renaissance Queen" Robert has worked with illustrious names in fashion, music and film among them: Helen Mirren, Antonio Banderas, Olga Kurylenko, Rose Byrne, Erin O'Conner, Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha McElhorne, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Amy Winehouse, Cyndi Lauper, Joss Stone, Twiggy, Marianne Faithful, Clive Owen and Carole Bouquet, to name a few.
