Growing up in Asia, Kenneth had always had a keen interest in beauty. From the age of 17 he started to experiment with make up looks and quickly found he had a natural talent at making women look beautiful. At the final show for his art and fashion design degree Kenneth was 'spotted' while doing the makeup backstage and was soon block-booked for fashion shoots. He moved to London in 1997 when he started fusing his Asian aesthetics with European influences, and a style that combined the best of both cultures soon started attracting the attention of magazines, editors, celebrities and private clients. He spent the next few years working in Fashion Week teams under makeup masters such as Val Garland, Pat McGrath and Lucia Pieroni where he honed his skills even more, gaining insights from the best in the business and learning what it takes to be the cream of the crop. Based in London but rarely in one place, he travels internationally for shoots and red carpet events for a growing list of celebs such as Naomie Harris, Rosie Huntington- Whiteley, Daisy Lowe, Courtney Love, Michelle Dockery, Yasmin Le Bon, Sienna Miller, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, Hugh Laurie and Kim Herzov to name a few. Kenneth documents these experiences on his blog MusingsofaMakeupArtist.com, tweets and instagrams, sharing insider snapshots of the products he uses, influences and every aspect of what it is like to be a top level makeup artist. With almost 20 years of fashion and beauty industry experience and an insatiable curiosity for products used all over the world, Kenneth has a thorough and broad knowledge of beauty across the nations and loves finding obscure items that help bring that little something extra to his work. This has truly been a great attribute with working with beauty companies, consulting and advising trends and beauty forecasts. As a Cult Beauty Expert Kenneth brings huge expertise and knowledge, having worked with all skin tones and types across the globe and a truly global appreciation of beauty.
