Like a deconstructed skin care cocktail, Drunk Elephant's C-Firma Fresh Day Serum (28ml) is designed to be mixed by you before first use, to maximise the potency of its delicate ingredients while keeping the formula fresh.
This powerful vitamin C day serum is brimming with antioxidants, nutrients and fruit enzymes, all of which work together to firm and brighten the appearance of skin. It features 15% pure l-ascorbic acid (a potent form of vitamin C), 0.5% ferulic acid and 1% vitamin E, which are supported by antioxidants to neutralise aggressors and diminish the visibility of lines and pigmentation. Also starring pumpkin ferment and pomegranate extracts, the serum enzymatically dissolves dead surface skin cells for a smoother-than-smooth texture.
Pour all of the liquid serum base into the vial containing the 15% l-ascorbic acid powder. Screw the pump onto the top of the vial and shake for one minute until the powder dissolves fully. Bubbles will form, which is normal! Next, insert the vial into the opaque outer container with the pump facing to the left until it snaps into place, and it's ready to use.

I really do love Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum. Yes, the packaging is cute an uplifting, but it isn't all about the packaging, and this Drunk Elephant Serum does offer a good hydration boost to skin, ready for the next stage of skincare, and whatever the day may bring.

Sticky and smelly
I got this as a tester in a goodie bag and I'm so pleased I didn't pay for it. I really don't understand the rave reviews for this product. It is a strong formula and mixing the powder into the serum keeps it stable, so good bang for your buck, however it is SO sticky it is impossible to rub on your face. I've resorted to adding it to my moisturiser to get some much needed slip. Add to that the horrid smell, and I would say avoid! I'm going back to my BeautyPie staple which is MUCH better value for money.

Great serum
The best vitamin c serum I have found. It goes on really nicely. I usually mix it with B hydra in the mornings then alternate between the retinol and acid serum in the evenings. This combination keeps my skin looking bright and is definitely improving the texture and fading the pigmentation marks I have.Â
