    • How to use

Apply sunscreen liberally before sun exposure. You can use this alone, five minutes after applying face cream or mixed with your chosen cream. Applying a diluted mixture of sunscreen and cream will reduce the level of sun protection (i.e. the SPF) indicated. Avoid intensive midday sun. Reapply frequently in order to maintain protection, especially after perspiring, swimming or drying off with a towel. Do not overexpose yourself to the sun, even if you are using sun-screen.

Dr. Barbara Sturm - Sun Drops

Dr. Barbara Sturm Sun Drops Reviews

It doesn’t break my skin, but if you have oily skin you might not like it. Just too greasy for me. Will not buy it again.
    A must have!
I honestly hated every SPF that I've tried so far. Too greasy, or weird bits in it.. ew. This one is a god sent. Easy to apply, sinks in very quickly, non of that white awfulness and you don't need a lot of it. Do give it a try, I think you'll love it.
    Must Have
Beautiful Spf. Used post-chemo no irritation and complete sun protection for the face. Love it. Very expensive but worth it.
Non mi piace I do not like
Sicuramente un ottimo prodotto ma non mi piace la consistenza Definitely a great product but I don't like the texture
Buy it and Thank me later
This is the best sunscreen ever! I have very sensitive combination skin and all the sunscreens that I've tried so far have made it overly shiny, oily and resulted in clogged pores. This one however acts like a primer, and gives you a beautiful glow along with sun protection. There's just nothing like Dr Sturm products.
    Must have
I’m so anal about SPF, I bought this and the lip balm from Dr Sturm, and these are now my core products (I love the Hyaluronic too). Love that it’s SPF 50, and also saw that I can mix it with moisturiser and it will then be SPF 30, so like the option. Great texture, I have never broken out from it which SPFs normally does to me, and it actually gives my skin such a nice glow! Pricey, but worth it
    Perfect sundrops
It’s good for my skin.I love it!
    Not worth the price
This might feel ok on your skin if you only use a drop or two and mix it with your moisturiser, but then I have doubts you would actually have full spf coverage. If you are like me and use sunscreen liberally, this is not the product for you. It doesn't leave a white cast, but it does dry really fast as it goes on and is prone to pilling. I also found it really thick and uncomfortable on my skin.
    Did not break me out
Before I bought this sunscreen, I was afraid if it would break me out. But it didn't! I love that I can mix it with my favorite moisturizer, which I find it easy to blend with. I did find it harder to blend with a moisturizer that is thicker.
    So greasy!
I have combination skin and my nose gets quite oily. This sunscreen is so incredibly greasy I have to start blotting 5 min after finishing my makeup. Without makeup, I am just a grease ball from the moment I put it on until I take it off. I give it two stars because it did not break me out and I did not get burned on vacation, but I'll probably have to use it on my body which is such a shame considering the price.
    love it
Bought a second bottle of it.
Best sunblock for a sensitive and pale skin
Sun Drops sunblock works great for my sensitive and pale skin. The sunblock does not leave any white residue, makes my skin glow, does not irritate my sensitive skin, and provides a full spectrum of sun protection. One of the reviewers mentioned Sun Drops protects only against UVA, not UVB, rays. It is not true. Dr. Sturm's website expressly states the sunblock protects against both.
Disappointed to see such a pricey product containing multiple parabens.
    The perfect drops
These drops are truly the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. Having combined skin type most sunscreens make my breakouts worse but this doesn’t.
This is the only SPF to use.
I love the application of this SPF as it has a little pipette no mess free. Also does not leave a white residue nor feel heavy on the skin even though it is a high factor 50.
    The perfect SPF
Never in my life did I think that I would spend so much on a sunscreen. But it is literally the perfect SPF. Leaves your skin plump, gorgeous, and radiant with no white cast whatsoever. RIP my wallet, but totally worth it.
Perfect dewy and doesn't clog pores
Worth the price especially if you love oil and overall non-chemical, cruelty-free/ not tested on animals products. I am a huge fan of the entire range.
    Love it!!
    I love it. ♡♡♡♡♡
Been having more interest in giving SPF serums and other skin care lines a go rather than having my SPF as my last product to apply before applying makeup. Given the price, I have purchased the smaller bottle, and I love it, my pocket probably won't, as I will definitely be re-ordering this - possible the bigger size. A little does indeed go a long way, but please make sure you are applying enough as of course, this is protecting your skin from sun damage! I have had zero breakout issues with this (which typically is very common as I have sensitive skin). Highly recommend it if you are on a hunt for a serum type SPF.
    The best
Best sunscreen ever!! Easy to use. Not greasy. My favourite! Will definitely buy it again.
    Must have!
Definitely most than a plain SPF: as all Dr Sturm's product in an ensemble of treatment and improvement in your everyday aspect even if you don't wear any makeup. I've used the Sun Drops for a while, this is my 3rd bottle, and alternate it with other cheaper spf but the difference is huge. Lightweight, no greasy or white cast, the skin is glower and looks younger, I can feel that it works as a skincare treatment. Brilliant under makeup too.
greasy and not worth the price
I liked this the first couple of times I used it - I got it in one of the Lydia Elise Millen Cult Beauty kits but I think I was star struck by it. After a while, it became very greasy and it sat thick and heavy on my skin. I tried to work with it because it is an expensive product and I didn't want to throw it away and I got to the last quarter and I just couldn't do it anymore - by this point I flat out hated it. Personally, there is no way I would purchase this again. There are much better products out there!
Where have you been all my life
Literally the best thing I've ever put on my face! But the price
    Parabens :(
It’s literally perfect! It’s an amazing spf.. but parabens :( I literally can’t use it because of the parabens :(
    Simply the best
I haven't found another SPF like this. Yes it's pricey but it's so good. Great if you have darker skin like myself, because there is not white cast at all. I get no irritation around my eyes and no breakouts. I don't know If I could use anything else again. Unbeatable!
    Not worth the money...
I found this product to be really thick and quite difficult to blend out, I thought maybe it was just my skin so tried a couple of other products that blended into my skin much better. It works fine as an SPF but I don’t think it’s worth that much, won’t be buying again.
    Best Sunscreen For Sensitive Skin
I suffer from rosacea, so I try to keep my products natural as a lot of additives seem to make me flare up. I hear everyone on the "parabens" front but most sunscreens will send my skin in to a firey red-tizzy! Therefore, this is the best one I've found for good protection without making me look like I've just sat face first in from of a fire :)
    Treatment sunscreen
This is my second bottle of Sun Drops and I initially loved it for its texture. To KMS's point about parabens, not all are created equal, and below certain concentrations, they are not dangerous. Better safe than sorry, sure, but definitely DBS is not your line as it is far from being all natural. I question why there are derivatives of vitamin C in a sunscreen when vitamin C is a treatment and using it actually makes you more prone to sun damage... It's a nice feeling product, and lasts quite a long time, but the price does throw people off. Save about $40 and get the Tatcha sunscreen, it's really the best IMO.
    It's sunscreen alright...
It's just sunscreen and quite a greasy one as well. I'm a big fan of Dr. Barbara Sturm but for that price, you're better off buying one of her serums.
    Too greasy
At first I loved this sunscreen, but after 4 uses I broke out on my forehead. I asked my dermatologist and she said it’s too greasy and there are no UVA protection only UVB.
    A top-notch sun serum
This is very different from other sun protection products I've used. It is very thin and lightweight and blends into the skin so easily. It does make the face a little glowy, so perhaps might not be ideal for those who prefer a matte finish. It hasn't made me break out and I haven't gotten burned, so all in all, I'm happy.
Totally worth the price. My only other favorite SPF for the face is Tatcha's, which is about $70 and largely available only in the US. I have zero issues with streaking or any other unwanted effects from using the sun drops.
    Just perfect
This is the perfect SPF for a dewy complexion--blends well with cream-based makeup (such as ILIA, RMS, Tata Harper, Vapour) and doesn't leave a white cast.
    Innovative and effective
My first time seeing a sunscreen in a bottle like this! Definitely not your typical kind. I’ve gotten some samples of this. It works really well as it didn’t get me any breakouts/ red patches/ bumps. It didn’t create a white cast on me as well. Furthermore, it was easy to blend out too! Not the cheapest sunscreen though. Get this if you’re able to afford it!
