Founded in Parma in 1983 by the Bolatti family, Davines evolved from a research laboratory for high-end hair care into its very-own line of original, sustainable and mindful formulas. Bringing some Italian style to your shower, this quirkily cool range of cleansers, conditioners, treatments and masks will take you on a trip to hair care heaven. Just when we thought we couldn't love the range more, they've now released a line of shampoo bars: plastic-free alternatives that are great for gently cleansing an array of hair types.
Forget everything you know about shampoo bars... An extension of their fan-favourite shampoo line, Davines' Solid Shampoo Bars boast a solid texture that develops into a rich creamy foam that cleanses without stripping your strands. Suited to dry, thirsty tresses, the MOMO Naked Shampoo Bar is enriched with yellow melon extract to promote softness, lightweight hydration, shine and silky texture.
Compact like a soap bar, these salon-quality shampoo bars are packaged in 100% recyclable paper (you're helping to cut down single-use plastics!) and boast the same results that you would see from using their traditional shampoos. Infused with strand-loving actives from Slow Food Presidia farms (an organisation that safeguards biodiversity in Italy), each shampoo contains up to 97.4% of highly biodegradable ingredients — so after rinsing, most of them degrade within 28 days!
Wet the shampoo bar with water, rub it between hands to create a lather and apply it to wet hair. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Proceed with a conditioner, if desired. Rinse thoroughly in case of eye contact.

So nourishing
In the past I’ve found most solid shampoos drying no matter what they claimed, not this one! If anything, my (hyper porous, chronically dry) hair is so much less stripped from oils it gets greasy a bit sooner than before, but that’s saying 3-4 days after wash instead of 5-6, so probably a much healthier outlook.

Great Shampoo Bar
I've pretty tried every Davines Shampoo bar by now. Although they are not my favourite out of all (my bad... my hair is not particularly dry) I would still highly recommend it.

Great Shampoo
First time trying a shampoo bar and I loved it! Really lathers up and my hair feels lovely and clean after. I think it will last me ages and I have really thick, long hair. Definitely worth the money!

First time
This is my first time trying a shampoo bar,took a severe allergic reaction to something at the end of July,and changed all my personal care products etc,came across this to replace my shampoo,and it’s amazing! Beautiful scent,lathers really well,leaves my hair super soft and clean and no adverse effects or reactions,highly recommend,going to buy the matching conditioner nowÂ

Sometimes I do enjoy a shampoo bar and this is a really good one, if a bit expensive. The smell is pleasant and it doesn't strip the hair.

Excellent travel bar
I use the momo shampoo usually which I love, and needed a spill free way to take the experience away with me, without splits in the suitcase. I tried the bar and loved it - actually a lot more suds than the usual shampoo. I only had issues towards the end of the bar when it became hard to use the fragments, but to be expected I think! Will absolutely use again.Â

Great shampoo bar
Really like this and bought it for travelling. Felt a lot more nourishing than I expected. Cleaned my hair well. Not essential but I wish they did a case as when travelling can get sticky/messy if you’re not able to leave it to dry in the bathroom/shower.Â

Favourite Shampoo
Have been using the brand Davines for years and was buzzing to see they released hard soap versions of their shampoos. The Momo line is great for my hair needs, leaves my hair feeling clean and hydrated! Love the sustainability of the soap versions too, one bar lasts me half a year of hair washing, not only good for the environment, but it's great value for money for good quality product.
