Founded in Parma in 1983 by the Bolatti family, Davines evolved from a research laboratory for high-end hair care into its very-own line of original, sustainable and mindful formulas. Bringing some Italian style to your shower, this quirkily cool range of cleansers, conditioners, treatments and masks will take you on a trip to hair care heaven. Just when we thought we couldn't love the range more, they've now released a line of shampoo bars: plastic-free alternatives that are great for gently cleansing an array of hair types.
Forget everything you know about shampoo bars... An extension of their fan-favourite shampoo line, Davines' Solid Shampoo Bars boast a solid texture that develops into a rich creamy foam that cleanses without stripping your strands. Suited to coarse, frizzy hair, the LOVE Naked Shampoo Bar is enriched with olive extract to promote softness, lightweight hydration, shine and a sleek finish.
Compact like a soap bar, these salon-quality shampoo bars are packaged in 100% recyclable paper (you're helping to cut down single-use plastics!) and boast the same results that you would see from using their traditional shampoos. Infused with strand-loving actives from Slow Food Presidia farms (an organisation that safeguards biodiversity in Italy), each shampoo contains up to 97.4% of highly biodegradable ingredients — so after rinsing, most of them degrade within 28 days!
Wet the shampoo bar with water, rub it between hands to create a lather and apply it to wet hair. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Proceed with a conditioner, if desired. Rinse thoroughly in case of eye contact.

Good for hair but falls apart
This bar smells great and for the first few washes was good for cleaning my curly hair without stripping it of its natural oils, but sadly the bar disintegrates so easily and so doesn't last very long, and means you can't get a good lather.

If you care about nature... (no plastic bottles!).
But still want great shampoo - Davines bars are for you. Easy to use, lathers beautifully, smells great!

Properly clean
If you want squeaky clean, shiny hair, this product is for you. Brilliant to travel with - but you’ll need a container to stop it going goopy between uses. Would also recommend a soap dish to drain away water at home.Â
