The very best candle
A kind friend sent me this, which I would never have bought myself or even tested—I find most candles cloying or acrid. But this! It truly is old hardwood floors, long-burnt candles from last night's revels, mirrors glinting in dawn light—and an echo of incense, when you kneel to confess your beautiful sins.

Good scent, bad wick quality
I'm partial to woody scents so I liked this candle. I haven't purchased a candle with some citrus undertones though and found out they aren't my thing, but it's still not too bad anyway. I was kind of disappointed about the wick quality though as it were harder to cut with a wick trimmer since it pulls apart. I'm not sure if this I got a bad batch though since this is my first candle from the brand.

Complex, heady - took time to grow on me
I am a Cire Trudon addict and want to try as much of the range as possible. I ordered this because of the other five-star reviews. When it arrived and I opened the box, I was hit by the heady smell. I immediately hated it and regretted spending so much money on a candle that smells so overpowering. This is a very complex scent, however, it has started to grow on me. The more I use this candle, the more I’m intrigued by it. I do not regret this purchase anymore, as it is such an interesting fragrance. I will not ever buy this candle again - it’s just too strong a smell for me and unfortunately my family all hate it. My favourite is Cire Trudon Ernesto, as it is lighter and warmer in notes - and my family all love the Ernesto candle, too.
