    • Why it's Cult
Established in the 17th century, Cire Trudon is the oldest candle maker in the world and was responsible for perfuming the persons and palaces of the French monarchy… until Napoleon expressed his mutual penchant for the country’s première candle creators. With fans from King Louis XIV to ‘Her Madgesty’ Madonna (the singer, not the ‘virgin’) Cire Trudon’s celeb endorsements speak volumes about the quality and luxury of this beautiful brand – and with over 370 years of experience, you’d expect them to have just about perfected their skills by now… A stunning addition to any bedside table, desk or mantelpiece, each candle is housed in hand-blown Italian glass, adorned with their signature gold label stating the motto of the ‘Maison Trudon’; ‘Deo regique laborant’ meaning ‘They work for God and King’ (‘they’ being bees).

    • How to use
It is important to trim wick before each use. When using the candle for the first time, keep the candle alight until the entire surface is covered in liquid wax. This should take approximately 1 hour and will ensure a more effective, even burn for all future uses. Depending on where the candle is placed it has a burn time of 65-70 hours.

Cire Trudon - Solis Rex (Eucalyptus & Cedar)

Cire Trudon Solis Rex (Eucalyptus & Cedar) Reviews

    A cult luxury
This scent is complex, slightly challenging - both clean and sexy and utterly gorgeous.
    Intoxicating, heady and divisive !
I was first made aware of this brand after spending the day at the beautiful Josh Wood salon in London where they burn this exact candle in the Atelier. It is such an unusual scent it emblazoned itself in my memory, two days later I had my very own and have adored it. I love that it fragrances the room even when unlit, I also love that is divides opinion due to its complex uniqueness. I sense this is the beginning of a serious Cire Trudon addiction.
    Highly recommend!
Have you ever been to Chateau de Versailles?! Light up this candle, the elegant and woody smell brings you there.
