Charlotte Tilbury's team (and her bestselling make up creations) were behind Alexa's gorgeous, understated look for last night's Met Gala extravaganza.

Back with her bangs (hoorah!), Alexa looked appropriately goddess-worthy for the launch of the Met's Comme des Garçons exhibition, which celebrates the avant-garde creations of the visionary Rei Kawakubo.

Dressed in a custom-made DvF gown (swoon!), Alexa's feminine frock with its plunging neckline and flared skirt was down-played with tousled tresses (use Cuvée's {Champagne Spray} to emulate her perfectly imperfect texture), and a flawless, pared-back beauty look that showcased her immaculate complexion.

Created by {Charlotte Tilbury} make up artist Charlotte Day, Alexa's pretty, low-key look was created with the following products and pro techniques...

{1} To emulate Alexa's luminous, dewy-skinned visage use Charlotte Tilbury's plumping and glow-bestowing {Magic Cream}, before creating a smooth, uniform canvas with {Magic Foundation} (Alexa wears shade No. 4) and a light dusting of {Airbrush Flawless Finish} to blur any imperfections and extend the longevity.

{2} To play up the insouciant, 'girl next door' look, Charlotte created the 'pinched-your-cheeks' prettiness by blending {Cheek to Chic} in 'The Climax' and 'Love Glow' for a bespoke flush that perfectly complemented Alexa's complexion.

{3} Alexa's flawless arches were enhanced with the {Brow Lift} in 'Supermodel', before her signature, smouldering look was created using {Luxury Palette - The Rock Chick}.

{4} Charlotte combined the 'prime' and 'pop' shades from the shadow quartet to create a soft, smoky-eyed vibe, before using the {Rock 'n' Kohl} in 'Bedroom Black' along upper and lower lashlines to intensify Alexa's arresting, blue-green gaze. The eyes were finished with several coats of {Full Fat Lashes} mascara - to maximise the knock 'em dead effect.

{5} And finally, Alexa's natural lip colour was enhanced with the {Lip Cheat} and {Matte Revolution Lipstick} in shade 'Pillow Talk' - the ultimate pinky-nude hue for a flattering, 'your lips but better' finish.
