Amazing Product

I was quite scared to try this product because of the silicone being so high up in the ingredient list and how potent the vitamin C is at 20% but OMG this product is MINDBLOWING.  This product didn’t break me out or irritate my skin. Vitamin C’s usually make me itch but the creamy texture of this doesn’t affect my skin like that at all.  It pills when you use it top of other skincare if they haven’t dried, but if you wait for them to dry then it goes on smoothly.  Works so well at fading dark marks too! I’ve noticed visible improvements in the last 3 weeks I’ve been using this.

Not for acne prone skin

The mattifying effect while looking great, cloged my pores and caused a lot of breakouts. Had to discontinue use. Disappointing due to the price of the product.

Grin and bear the texture

I swear by this stuff. Unfortunately, I have not dropped the habit of picking my blemishes, and thanks to this serum they fade super quick - didn't even realise it was supposed to do this - and leaves my skin looking soft and supple! After applying, I normally pat on my favourite moisturiser (CT magic cream) and I literally have perfect skin and always get complimented on my healthy glow when I decide not to wear foundation. Yes, it may sting a tiny bit (for 5 seconds max) especially if you exfoliate your face, and yes the texture isn't amazing, but if you want fresh looking, glowing skin (and less blemish scars) grin and bear the not so amazing texture.

Great results if you can get past the texture

I have been using vitamin C's at around 10-15% for a while now, so was really excited to start introducing this to my routine at 20%! I do think it's important that you allow time for your skin to adjust to a more active serum, and if you're new to vitamin C definitely start on something lower to avoid possible sensitivity/flushing. I did notice a few under the skin red bumps on my face in the first few weeks of this which is unusual for me so I believe it's down to this. This has completely gone away now though, so nothing to worry about, just my skin getting used to a new and more active formulation. Now I'm a few months in I have to say I am really seeing results. While I don't love the grittier texture of this (I tend to prefer more liquid/runny formulas), you know you're getting a really active product with this. I haven't found this pill with any other products so far, and I've tested it with a few different oils and moisturisers to see how it faired, so no complaints on layering. I have two patches of pigmentation that have come up in recent years (sun damage as a lazy teenager is coming back to haunt me, wear your SPF please!) and I'm noticing that these are looking more faded and less apparent already. This has been my only change in terms of actives since using this so I'm putting it down to this with consistent SPF application every day. My skin is looking more even and bright already, but I'm excited to see how it looks when I finish the bottle as I'm sure I have a way to go still. I think if you can get past the texture, this is a winner. The ingredients listing is amazing and I love that it's so short and concise, you know everything in this is there for a reason, and a good one at that! I do find it leaves my skin looking a little more matte upon application, however after I've gone in with my HA and oil/moisturiser combo this completely disappears and I'm glowy again. If you're after a step-up in your vitamin C step this is definitely a winner!

Smooth, but I want more glow

I love a good Vitamin C serum, I mean I love a good glow achieving product to say the very least. I must say this serum does feel super smooth when applied to the skin however I find it leaves the skin feeling super matte and left with a film. Sadly I didn't get the glow I was looking for and it ending up not mixing well with my moisturiser. On the positive, I didn't experience any stinging or discomfort just wish I got more of the glow.

Stings and Texture is not the Best

The experience of using this product wasn't the greatest. It stings upon application every time, which surprised me because this is the first time it has happened for me with an l-ascorbic acid product. I also find it hard to apply my regular moisturiser and sunscreen after using this. The matt texture of this serum made application of products that come after tricky - hard to spread and patchy. On the other hand, the packaging is good. I think it helps with decreasing product degradation.

love the result but I hate the texture

I love the results from this product but I really don‘t like the texture. It‘s so hard to apply all over your face. Because it is full of silicone you‘ll get a very matt finish. It wont match with every mouisturizer as well! For me it‘s to expensive and there are a lot of other Vitamin C products out there with better or same resaults.

Great concept, not user friendly

I was very excited to try out this product as I have been using serums with vitamin C derivatives for a while and I wanted to try L-ascorbic acid. This is indubitably a great product from a formulation perspective but, in my opinion, it is not user friendly at all. The main issue is that it doesn't play well with the other products that I use in my routine. Besides that, I don't enjoy its texture - which is kind of slippery yet dry at the same time, but also quite granular - it almost seems that I am doing a mechanical exfoliation when I wash my face at night. It also gives my skin a very matte finish that I personally don't enjoy. Sadly, I won't be using this product on my face, but on my hands instead, which is a pity considering the price tag.

Gave me blackheads

I suffered with pigmentation from a flare of acne I had recently so after reading all the positive reviews I decided to buy this even though it was very expensive for only 30ml! I have been using it for a month and haven’t noticed a difference with the pigmentation and it’s given me really bad blackheads all over my face. The only thing I liked was the glow it gave my skin but it’s a shame that’s all it done.

Best Vitamin C

I have tried so many vitamin C Serums, also very expensive ones such as Skin Ceuticals, and the only one I liked was Paula‘s Choice booster. Then came a sample of this one from Beautystat and I just had to buy it. It is incredible! Completely innovative texture and formula and boy does it work! Finally I was able to get rid of some of my most stubborn pigmentation areas. Just amazing! Might be too strong if you are just getting started with vitamin c (maybe start with Paula‘s Choice booster and then work yourself to this one). Absolute holy grail for me!
