    Annick Goutal

Launched in the 1980s, Annick Goutal’s breezy, delicate approach to fragrance was a welcome antidote to the OTT 'more is more' trend in perfumery at the time. Her sparkling Eau d’Hadrien scent of 1981 is now considered a classic and still has legions of loyal fans spritzing it on the world over. Goutal was a classically trained pianist-turned-perfumer whose “compositions” are delicate, dreamy concoctions, housed in elegant, vintage-style bottles - often hand-tied with a pretty ribbon (a nod to her father, a sweet shop-owner). Today, her perfumer daughter Camille sits at the helm of the company, reinterpreting the Annick Goutal story for a new generation of fragrance lovers.
