Borne out of one woman's frustration, Ameliorate's creator, Annette, was desperate to eradicate her 'chicken skin'. Having suffered with Keratosis Pilaris from an early age; a remarkably common condition which causes skin to appear rough, red and bumpy due to an excess of keratin which leads to little plugs' or goosebumps. Annette decided to take matter into her own hands!
What started as a mission to smooth her limbs with skin-loving ingredients has now expanded into a comprehensive collection of face, body and hair heroes: one of the former, this all-new Replenishing Facial Cream is designed to seal in long-lasting moisture, diminishing the look of fine lines smoothing roughness.
Powered by a cocktail of nourishing active ingredients, Ameliorate's Replenishing Facial Cream helps to comfort irritation, smooth the look of fine lines and dry patches, as well as revealing a brighter, more even tone.
The formula stars the brand’s unique LAH6 Skin Hydration Complex â€' a blend of natural moisturising factors, humectants, hydrating milk protein and soothing oat, combined at an optimal level to ‘lock in’ hydration and leave scaly skin feeling smooth and replenished. Not only that, but it's also infused with a lipid booster complex, known as Skinflux, which delivers conditioning ceramides to your skin. To keep the 'good stuff' in (i.e. hydration) and 'bad stuff' out (i.e. pollution), it's made with Oligogeline and Pollustop to improve your skin's barrier function. Hyaluronic acid is the finishing touch, providing instant hydration and helping to improve the appearance of rough skin.
Apply to clean, dry skin in the AM and PM.

Favourite day cream
I'm probably on my fifth or sixth tube now! Leaves my skin velvety soft and well moisturised. Hydrates skin w/o leaving it greasy and I've used it both in summer and winter. Absorbs very quickly and does not pill! Subtle smell and suits very well for my sensitive skin.Â

Genuinely my favourite moisturiser. I’m on my 4th tube, my mum is on her 2nd. Incredible product. In my opinion it’s the most universal moisturiser out there. Wouldn’t recommend though if you’re sensitive to any scents on your face as it is scented. But overall, it’s my number one and each time I try something different I regret it and come back to this one. Amazing!Â

Does everything it promises to do. A little goes a long way and a thin layer leaves my skin moisturised and velvety soft, it has a natural matte finish. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t pill with my other serums. I have sensitive skin but it doesn’t sting and my skin doesn’t break out, it doesn’t clog my pores either. Although the scent is a little strong, it’s not off putting - think a sweet oldschool cream scent. 4 stars because of the smell but I’m on my second tube already!
