Aesop manages to be both beautiful and practical, a hybrid of old school and new tech disciplines. The bottles are brown glass because this protects product from degrading UV rays, meaning the formulas need fewer preservatives. The range is balanced between nature and technology because that's where Aesop's found the best results (the fact that the botanicals make it smell divine and the bottles look beautiful is a happy bi-product of being focused on the best strategy to create gorgeous skin!) This serum delivers a big hit of anti-oxidative, active botanical extracts like parsley seed, grape seed and moisturising oils to shield and nourish your skin.

How to use
Pipette 5 to 10 drops of serum into the palms of your hands, rub them together and then hold to your face and inhale the lovely scent. Massage the oil evenly into your face with upward strokes. Apply daily or more often as required. For very dry skin blend with an equal measure of Aesop's Fabulous Face Oil.
This broke me out so bad, however it did give me healthy glow and my skin looked good, besides the bumps.
This might be good for combo/oily skin (I am normal/dry), but if you've ever used plain aloe vera gel, this feels pretty much like that (it is also the first ingredient). I was disappointed and don't think it's worth the price tag. Didn't do much for my skin either.
I really like this serum. I wanted a light serum for summer, since it gets very hot and humid where I live. This serum sinks right in and it leaves my skin feeling very balanced.
The scent is amazing. It is very soft and gives a nice tone to my skin in the morning. It dries in a few second and leaves your skin feeling very clean, smooth and hydrated.
I got a sample of this serum with another order and decided to try the full size . This is the first time I've ever felt the need to write an online review of a product! It is absolutely fab for my skin.
At first you think it is a bit sticky ( probably the aloe) but it sinks straight into your skin.
My skin tends towards dehydrated and oily with spots ( nice, eh!) . It is also pretty sensitive . This cools and smoothes and seems to get rid of blemishes. My skin is definitely more hydrated.
Also a little really does go a long way which is always good. I'd love a travel size bottle so that I don't have to decant it when I go away.
It works well for my skin and leaves that glow despite the sticky feeling (the stickiness will go once you apply moisturizers). In the end, what matter is the result and I see an overall improvement in my skin texture in which it looks balance and calm as well as even tone?
Not sure what it does?
I was on the hunt for a morning essence/serum as a pre-cursor for my face oils and was keen that was preventive against environmental aggressors. It absorbs supremely well and you do get a lot so it's bang for your buck. However I'm not sure how this compares to using a hyaluronic acid or an even stronger anti-oxidant serum (such as Vit C). I know this contributes to my long-term skin health but I couldn't tell what it was doing for my skin so it felt like an excessive splurge.
I was looking for the perfect serum to add to my skincare routine, and once I found this I never looked back. I apply it twice daily; just a few drops, and it acts as an instant hydrator and glow-giver. I have combination skin, and it works wonders if I'm feeling dry or even if i'm feeling oily! It's the perfect addition to my routine and it's probably going to be a lifetime commitment for me.
The only drawback is the glass bottle which means I find it hard to transport during travel. I wish they'd come up with a plastic, travel-size version; I'd buy that too. I love Aesop, both their products as well as their packaging always make me feel so luxurious.
I can only confirm, what the other reviewers stated: this is the best skin product I ever had. It is already my third bottle and since I started using it my skin looks radiant. I got rid of my blemishes and my skin is very hydrated. I also love the smell. I can absolutely recommend this!
