Born and raised in South East London, where she still lives, Eminé Ali Rushton has 10 years experience as a beauty, health, trend and wellbeing journalism, she has written for a wealth of different titles that span the publishing spectrum – everything from ELLE, i-D, NYLON and Liberty to Weekend Magazine and the Metro – the latter was home to her health and beauty column ‘SPA SECRETS’ which ran daily for 2 years.
Presently beauty director at thinking woman’s glossy PSYCHOLOGIES, Eminé specialises in beauty features and visuals that celebrate truth, and make readers think more deeply about themselves. Her niche is for ‘real’ beauty copy that comes with a distinctive voice – candid, honest and witty – with a dash of attitude too. She has racked up work for several big indie titles, including i-D, Amelia’s Magazine, Urban Junkies, and the Condé Nast-distributed GLASS, where she was Online Beauty Editor.
