First aid remedy for delicate skin

By Sarah Chapman, Facialist, skin care expert
This unctuous balm from Australia has a gorgeous texture and delicious smell. It is a remedy for almost any skin condition with its healing and exfoliating paw paw. Use it on insect bites, rashes, dry skin, spots, infections or just as a nourishing treatment. I love to use it for facial massage and it is a natural alternative to 8 hour cream for long haul flights. A little goes a long way, try it, as you will wonder how you managed without it before and this one really is an insider secret.

Pawpaw Magic*

I first discovered this balm whilst in Australia. It is perfect for any fashionista...the ideal travel companion. It works wonders on your lips as a smoothing, calming balm or as a subtle gloss over lipstick. Since discovering it I have moved between London and South Africa. The climates are radically different, but the balm works for chapped lips or for sunburn and is an essential item to survive in the urban jungle. Brilliant!

This product is definately a cult beauty buy. It does the same as Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream, only without the huge price tag. I also think that it feels much more comfortable on your skin and lips than Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. I use this product for so many things, including for chapped skin, hand cream, dry knees and elbows, lips, subtle lip gloss, insect bites, spots, and a moisturising face mask. I've also read that papaw ointment is good for babies as its very natural and has incredible healing properties. Admittedly this product is a bit difficult to get hold of in the UK, but Australian girls definately have the right idea by making sure that they don't go anywhere without it!
A True Handbag Staple

I first read about this product in a magazine, it was being recommended as Celeb Must Have, and my initial thought was that it couldn't possibly live up to the claims. I was wrong. The ointment can be used to safely address most minor skin issues - particularly good on grazes, scratches (for those who enjoy gardening, it's a must), chaps, sore lips, any little dry patches, and I even used a little on my hair as a pomade when I was caught without any hair product at work. I was so impressed, I bought one for each of my girlfriends as a stocking filler, and each of them without fail has asked where to get this. A little of the ointment does go a very long way.
