When shaping your nails make sure to file each side in one direction, either up or down. Filing your nails in both directions, with a sawing motion will damage the nail and cause it to crack and break. Wipe periodically to ensure that the surface of the crystal file is as effective as possible.

I was given a crystal nail file as a Christmas gift about 5 years ago and it has proved to be one of my favourite make-up bag essentials. Not only does it work better than any other nail file I've owned but you don't suffer from that ear-splitting filing noise - reason ALONE to buy one! Another bonus is that it takes fewer strokes to file your nails because the surface is so effective. My pick for next generation cult beauty product!

I love how this works! I've been meaning to buy a crystal nail file but i kept balking at the price.... so im glad i found this! It enables me to file and shape much faster, it leaves my nails smooth on the edge and i can file back and forth w/o fear or tearing/ripping my nails. The only thing i think wouldve been nicer is if they sold this with an actual case, not just the plastic sheath it comes with because i am clumsy and it breaks easily.
