Widely considered the doyenne of hair colour, Jo Hansford's reputation as a hair colour authority extends beyond British shores. Jo opened her specialist colour salon 14 years ago with a staff of 8. The salon now boasts a team of 50 highly skilled colour technicians, stylists and assistants, including Marina Sandoval who was specially commissioned by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall to treat Catherine Middleton to a signature manicure for her wedding day!

Although Jo Hansford has achieved her dream, she remains driven by that passion and a desire to accomplish even more: "This industry is ever evolving, and we must move with it. I still find it as exciting now as I did at the beginning of my career. I want to pass on my passion and that excitement to my team - to inspire them to realise their goals and their dreams."

Jo Hansford works closely with L'Oreal Professionnel on the development and testing of new colour products in the market place. She travels extensively with her team doing seminars and shows for L'Oreal world-wide, as well as judging many award events including the L'Oreal Colour Trophy in Australia, India, New Zealand and France. She recently set up the Jo Hansford India foundation with L'Oreal Professionnel to help teach the next generation of Indian hairdressers.

The Jo Hansford Salon has a loyal celebrity clientele, including Elizabeth Hurley, Yasmin Le Bon, Gwyneth Paltrow, the Duchess of Cornwall, Brittany Murphy, Holly Hunter, Claire Danes and Nigella Laws
