Coming from an artistic background with a former Sotheby's partner as a father and a mother who worked for Harpers Bazaar, Emma made her first foray into fashion as a Vivienne Westwood-obsessed teenager aged 17, working for I-D's fashion editor, Judy Blame, for some years. She then became a session singer, working with the likes of Black Grape and MoWax records, before finding her true vocation in the world of beauty, film and fashion after being given a break on a short film with Boogie Woogie director Duncan Ward. She never looked back and has been a well known make up artist for 14 years.
She is currently working with her celebrity & red carpet client A list including Jennifer Lawrence, James D'Arcy, Stephen Dorff, Sienna Miller, Rosamund Pike, Rosario Dawson & Duran Duran, with whom she did the infamous Girl Panic video directed by Jonas Ackerlund. She has recently worked on beauty advertising commercials such as Schwarzkopf and Clearasil with LA based director Chris Applebaum. Emma is also consulting on makeup and skincare for Louis Vuitton LV onstage.
Emma's trademark is her light & glowing touch with skin. "Makeup should only ever enhance - the key is to know when to under-do it - too much & the character of the face is lost. You should notice the beauty, not the makeup. I'm also a complete skincare junkie having had classically teenage bad skin & am always on the lookout for new skincare marvels, as good makeup starts with good, healthy skin."
