In 1992, whilst working on Shu Uemura's international expansion, Millie was approached to work with the Aveda brand. At this time she established her own company, MKPR, which specialised in retail management, public relations, marketing and staff training.

Her prestigious portfolio of launches into the UK market included: Shu Uemura, Aveda, Tweezerman, Stila, L'Occitane, Delux, California Sun Laboratories and Ruby Hammer Masterclass and Make Up Brushes. Simultaneously, Millie worked on personal management and PR for hair stylists Trevor Sorbie, Antoinette Beenders, Eugene Soulieman, Johnny Sapong and Sam McKnight, whilst make up artists including legendary Mary Greenwell and Pat McGrath.

The launch of Ruby & Millie in 1998 promoted Millie to devote all her energy to the brand. She sold MKPR, which still prospers under new ownership. Millie's company ethos has allowed her to maintain a personal relationship with both customers and the beauty and style press.

Millie believes that beauty is achievable and affordable, that all women should look naturally beautiful and glamorous and that the Ruby & Millie range will assist all women to express their own unique beauty.

Millie Kendall was presented with a MBE in 2007 for her long-standing contribution to the cosmetics industry.
