Nannic's Epibronze is the summer skin product of our dreams - a daily moisturiser and self-tanning lotion that actually encourages your skin to tan (and smells deliciously of vanilla). As well as being packed with Vitamin E, this paraben-free lotion uses Monk's Pepper to stimulate the skin's own melanin production and small amounts of DHA and Erythrulose which react with the proteins on the skin's surface, to give you a natural-looking (not orange!) longer-lasting tan.
Why it's cult
Epibronze is the latest product from Belgian brand Nannic & the only self-tanner which targets the skin at multiple levels. It stimulates the body's own tanning mechanisms, helping skin to protect itself as melanin is the body's natural defence against UV radiation. If you start using this a few days (or weeks) before you hit the beach, you can gradually build up a sunless tan & get a head start with tanned skin that's more resilient to UV-rays.

Apply daily to body and/or face, until you reach your desired colour. Like a moisturiser, it spreads smoothly over your skin and dries in a few minutes. As Epibronze colour is subtle and does not leave a border line, you can top up wherever more colour is needed. Though it contains no SPF, it increases the melanin in your skin, helping protect you from UV rays. It is recommended that you begin using Epibronze a few days to a few weeks before exposing your skin to the sun (depending on how quickly your skin produces melanin). Wash hands after use.

Very gradually realistic tan

It takes a while for this to show but when it does it is exactly the same colour as my real tan. Just one afternoon with the sun on my face made me go naturally browner too....not red, or pink then vaguely light beige as normal. Keep patience with this, I apply every other day during the summer and do a big body exfoliate once a week to stop ankle build up. I really think this increases my ability to tan naturally, very odd...

Well I've been religiously using this product for about 3 weeks now. I have barely changed colour at all - the only way I know that I've got it on is that my sheets went a bit brown. I haven't been out in the sun much so cannot speak for it's efficacy at helping my skin to tan. However, at the moment I am very disappointed. I'll keep using it as it is a nice moisturiser but I was hoping for a better sunless tan. Darn it, the search continues...
