Wife of company founder George Korres, Lena was the first person to be hired at Athens-based Korres Natural Products in 1996. Having held positions in sales, marketing and exports, today Lena heads up the company’'s international marketing and product development.

As well as having degrees in business and chemical engineering, Lena is fluent in several European languages which holds her in good stead when representing Korres at trade fairs all over the world. As well as liaising with press and PR partners, Lena takes a hands on approach with the company’'s pharmaceutical clientele, also working closely with the R&D team on new product development.

Athens’' first ever homeopathic pharmacy, Korres was established as an extensive scientific resource for the creation of beauty products that impart the benefits of using Greece’'s natural flora. The first Korres product was an aromatic herbal syrup with honey and aniseed, a recipe inspired by "rakomelon", a warming spirit-with-honey concoction, which George Korres’s grandfather used to favour in his hometown on the island of Naxos. Blending some 3,000 homeopathic remedies of herbal origin and hundreds of herbal preparations, the company today offers more than 500 skin and hair care products, suncare, a full colour line, nutraceuticals and a herbal-pharmacy range of products.
