Ruby Hammer {Make Up Artist}

Ruby Hammer has worked in the beauty industry for over 25 years and is one of the best-known and most respected makeup artists in the world. Known globally for her successful business partnership with Millie Kendall, which created the award winning Ruby & Millie make up range. Individually, Ruby has recently launched a range called ‘Ruby Recommends’. A capsule collection of makeup essentials. Ruby currently contributes to Easy Living, writing a monthly beauty column on the best that's out there.

Ruby was born in Nigeria to Bangladeshi parents and moved to London when she was 12 years old. Married with a daughter of 25, Ruby can speak fluent Bengali, Hausa (Northern Nigerian dialect), and Hindi.

Throughout her career Ruby has had a pioneering influence on the fashion and beauty industries. From Haute Couture on the catwalks of Paris, New York and Milan working with John Galliano, Jasper Conran and Ghost, to exotic Beauty shoots with world renowned photographers Ruby has inspired looks and contributed editorial expertise for all the leading magazines including Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire. In 2007 Ruby was awarded an MBE for her long standing contribution to the cosmetics industry.
