Like its sister Molecule 02, Escentric 02 is built around Ambroxan as its foundation base note - a man-made version of the pricey Ambergris. For the Escentric 02 Ambroxan - an aroma-molecule that gives a sweet, earthy, musky character - is then combined with Vetiver & Muscone, a beautiful, cruelty-free musk. Orris, Elderflower extracts & the jasmine-vibe of Hedione adds an instant effervescence to the top note, giving it a fresh 'mineral' effect. An optimistic, wear-anytime scent for men & women
Why it's cult
This is an very modern scent, & although Geza Schoen has used traditional perfume molecules, it is the way he formulates them that makes the Escentric Molecules ranges (01, 02, 03) so different and alluring. For the 02s it's all in the Ambroxan, a synthetic version of something wales produce (basically a calcified wale 'hairball' that washes up on beaches) that makes perfumers froth at the mouth & decimates your wallet. E02 is a more complex version of M02.
