After shampooing wring out your hair to rid it of excess water then apply a walnut sized amount and leave for 5-10 minutes - depending on how deeply you want to condition and colour. If your hair is greasy just apply to the ends of your hair, if dry cover your entire head to the roots. Wash out with warm water.
