Think pink to beat breast cancer

Love cake and fashion? Want to help beat breast cancer? Then snap up some tickets to the Splash of Pink fashion show and couture tea this September. Cult Beauty are delighted to be supporting this fabulous fundraising event, which will take place on Saturday, September 25, in aid of Against Breast Cancer in the grounds of Robin and Dwina Gibb’s beautiful Oxfordshire estate.

Following on from London Fashion Week, the day will include a catwalk show featuring designers including Paul Costelloe and Pringle, a champagne and cocktail reception and a delicious couture-inspired afternoon tea. There will also be musical entertainment (Robin Gibb duetting with Beverley Knight!), a charity auction and raffle of one-off celebrity and designer items.

All this fabulousness is to raise awareness and funds for the fantastic work that Against Breast Cancer do in fighting the disease that is now the most common form of cancer. Each year 46,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, that’s 125 a day. But there are more than 30,000 survivors each year and that’s in no small part due to the pioneering work that charities like Against Breast Cancer do. They are currently funding the Diet & Lifestyle Study – the largest of its kind in the world – and hope one day to develop a vaccine to beat the disease that still afflicts one in nine women.

The charity requires a minimum of £1.2 million each year in order to continue their vital research, and if you buy a ticket to the Splash of Pink event (£200 per person, £2000 for a table of ten or £1,200 for a table of six) you’ll be helping them meet that target – and enjoying a wonderful day out too!
