Maria Grachvogel Candles
Maria Grachvogel, renowned for her beautifully elegant evening frocks, has decided to take her label in another direction – apart from designing cocktails for Claridges!- candles.
Maria Grachvogel’s ‘First Fragrance Candle Collection’ is due to launch nationwide on her website in February 2010. Available in three distinctive scents, Bois de Santal – based on the warmth of sandalwood, Violette Africaine and Orris – the root of the Iris plan which in ancient times was ground up and used as a love potion, the fragrances are ‘designed to reflect the different moods of a woman’ – (and don’t worry, PMS isn’t one of them).
Featuring three of Maria’s hand painted prints, the candles look as good as they smell and are available now for those based in London from Maria’s flagship store; 162, Sloane Street, 020 7245 9331…verity douglas
