New Neutrogena body range
Neutrogena have just launched 3 new body products (Deep Moisture Body Lotion in Dry and Sensitive and Deep Moisture Comfort Balm) aimed at seriously moisturising the body. As we go into winter and our skins become embattled by extreme hot/cold changes, dried out by central heating and wrapped away from the sun under many layers, this is not a moment too soon.
After polling 576 (strange number) women, it was discovered that the attribute most wanted in a moisturiser was not anti-ageing, not slimming, but err, moisturising! They wanted to find one that really tackled dry skin, keeping it moisturised for long periods of time without feeling like they were covered in grease.
The marketing schpiel focuses on how these products moisturise 10 layers deep. I want to clarify that they are talking about 10 layers of cells, i.e. 10 cells deep which is about 4um (0.004 mm). That said, I do really like the products, they have a fresh, subtle scent, they sink in quickly and don’t leave a film on the skin. I have very dry skin that stayed happily moisturised all day. alexia inge
