To reduce scarring whether from a wound or in the form of a stretch mark, massage Bio-Oil in a circular motion into the scar and surrounding skin, twice daily, for a minimum of 3 months. Younger scars have a greater chance of improvement within a shorter time period, however, older scars will also benefit from the regular use of Bio-Oil. On new scars, Bio-Oil should be applied only once the wound has healed, and should never be used on broken skin.

Fading scarring

I grew really quickly as a teenager and have had stretch marks all down the sides of my hips and bum for 20 years now. I heard about Bio-Oil on a holiday to South Africa where it is EVERYWHERE and used for everything from sunburn to daily moisturising to most importantly fading scarring. After using this for 2 months my stretch marks are white now, all of the pinkiness has faded so you can see them a lot less which is just such an excellent result. It is a nice moisturiser as well so I am very happy to use every day, fingers crossed it keeps fading them to nothing, that would be amazing!

From April thru September (and the occasional winter holiday) this is my life saver. I use this as an everyday aftersun all over (including my face), and for those days when you *might* have forgotten to put sun lotion on whilst in Africa - this will rescue your poor blistered skin. The best moisture injection there is - I even use it in my hair when its sun parched. Smells delicious and soothing, there's always a small bottle in my bag!
