This simple, organic shampoo from cult Aussie brand Akin is so gentle you can use it on sensitive, irritated scalps and even on babies. Unscented and containing coconut (an anti-irritant) for cleansing instead of the usual SLR's, Glycerin for moisturising, it's pH neutral and hypo-allergenic and a little goes a long way. Brilliant for those for whom normal shampoos leave an irritatingly itchy head.
Why it's cult
A'kin Unscented Very Gentle Shampoo is the kindest thing with which to wash your locks. By cleverly combining just the right plant extracts (coconut, sugar cane), it manages to get hair extra clean without acting harshly on the scalp or stripping the hair of its essential natural oils. Like the rest of the A'kin range, it's free from chemical nasties and being pH-balanced, it's very mild on skin and eyes, making it ideal for babies.

Directions
Massage a small amount into wet hair. Rinse and reapply if necessary. As [A'kin] shampoos do not re-coat the hair, a conditioner is always recommended to get the most from your wash.

For years I've suffered from what I thought was dandruff on my scalp and dermatitis on my skin. I stumbled on this product by accident as I hate the idea of unnecessarily using chemicals on my skin and surprise, surprise, no more itchy scalp. And the dry irritated skin on my back has also cleared up somewhat after ditching my regular fragrance, preservative and SLS filled shampoo. The conditioner that matches this shampoo is also super soothing and moisturising. This product is Australian, and I can vouch that you are paying the same price on cultBEAUTY as we do in stores which is always nice to know.

this is a life saver for sensitive or allergic scalps. not only does it not irritate my ultra sensitive skin, it is honestly the best shampoo and conditioner i have used. great value too. i do have to wash my hair twice as the shampoo is very mild, but this is good as it doesn't over strip your hair and scalp.
